I think Ron Nasty will agree with me on this:

I’m the Urban Spaceman - Bonzo Dog Band  - definitely qualifies as Beatle-esque, because Paul McCartney was one of the co-producers.

Here is the 1968 promo for the song:

Oh Temples! I've heard Shelter song on the radio a lot, and I love it. I've also heard good things about them, so I'll definitely check them out.

Any other Tame Impala fans on here? They're my favourite band, tied with The Beatles and Pink Floyd; I first discovered them by reading that Kevin Parker's voice sounds like John Lennon's (which is true), and it carried on from there. Apparently there's a new album coming out soon, but don't quote me on that.

My favourite songs by them are probably Mind Mischief, Sun's Coming Up, their cover of Stranger in Moscow, and many more. I don't think there's any songs by them I dislike, actually.

@MrMoonlight, sorry dude. I really am sorry I got the wrong person mentioned in the last post.

Let me know when I do really dumb stuff like that.

One for consideration...

I think that's already the third or fourth time someone's posting that Knickerbockers song.

And oh, the Real People! I've been wanting to check them out. Not bad, but there's something about it I don't like. Can't really place my finger on what.

My bad, @Linde. @Bongo didn't miss it in this thread. He made a new thread using this the song. I merged it into this thread. I should have posted a note about it. Sorry about that.

Maybe it's just me, but I've heard Crying In The Chapel twice on radio today, and I noticed a couple of parts that reminded me of Don't Let Me Down. I know John loved Elvis' era before the early 60's (when Chapel is from)...but old influences do have a tendency to lodge in the brain and come back to you later. Give it a listen and tell me what you reckon. If you think it's hogwash I'll take it on the chin!

I think this song by Billy Joel, from his album The Nylon Curtain, "Scandinavian Skies", has a VERY late Beatles feel to it. Plus, the song was inspired by drugs. Heroin specifically, I believe. I hear bits of psychedelic-era Lennon and Harrison in it.

EDIT: Make sure you listen until around the 2:30 mark or so; that's when it picks up and really sounds Beatlesque.

If you're lonely (or not!), you can talk to me. .....Hey! Are you a new member on this fine forum and don't know where to go to introduce yourself? Well, you can do it here! Dig it?

I see what you mean. Melody wise, 'Don't Let Me Down' almost seem like a slightly sped-up version of Elvis' 'Crying In The Chapel'

I know this is a bit off topic because this isn't actually a Beatles song, but it sure sounds like it is!  From 1969.

Posts 114, 116, and 117 were a separate thread titled "Don't Let Me Down/Crying In The Chapel". It dawned on me that the posts belong here with the other songs that sound Beatley. I hope @burnsybaby1987, @MrCleanMachine, and @Sugarplum fairy enjoy some of the other offerings in this thread.

I was reading all the threads to see if this was mentioned.  But definitely sounds more like Macca & Wings, sort of like Uncle Albert/Admiral Halseyahdn_paul_06

You can't forget Klaatu, the band that sounded so Beatley that there was a mini-conspiracy that they really were the boys incognito.
