Here's something you might all enjoy.

Each year, the Beatles got together and recorded a special little something for members of the Beatles Fan Club. These weren't released to the public at large, but they're really entertaining. What's more, each year's recording reflected where the band was musically. I heard these years ago when a local radio station was playing one of them per day leading up to Christmas.

I've got some of the original flexi-discs: two copies of 1963 and one of 1964. My mum gave them to me, though I think her fan club membership lapsed in 1965. I don't know why she had two copies of the 1963 disc – possibly they sent an extra one out by accident.

Mr. K, this was great! I like how more involved they got with the recording's production around 65 or 66. Thanks much for letting us know about this!
