OfflineNope. I tried, but it didn't work. My FB is locked down settings-wise, so that's probably the reason.
I'll be posting pics soon for my Class Project thread, so I guess I'll just make a Photobucket account for this sort of thing.
I was looking for something that didn't require me to do any thinking. I'm exhausted, after a stretch of days at the cottage way up north…

OfflineHere are some pics!
Note the Canadian-only 'Long Tall Sally' album. The copy of 'Revolver' is a Canadian mono. And yes, like the U.S. Capitol version, it pointlessly omits 2 songs…
Some Beatley 45s! The George one is a double A-side, so there's no "inside slice" on the flip side.

This was a little scrapbooked thingie inside of my copy of 'Long Tall Sally'. It's a nice feeling to know that some kid went out of their way to cut and glue this. It now will live out its life on my fridge.
This is a nice detail of the "Something" single.

Just to be a right pain in the neck (sorry) the US (and therefore i presume Canada too) omitted 3 songs from Revolver not 2.
(Yes i am that type of person but then i'll move non-beatles cd's out of the beatles racks in music shops – they just shouldnt be there. (I know it was a typo but it had to be corrected (unless you think one song should have been omitted in which case i retract this post) - mainly because if i saw it in a book id be screaming at it)).
Again apologies.

OfflineIn place of the Granny Smith apple
, in the US (to symbolize the soundtrack was distributed by UA) it was a red apple. I've got one as well.

OfflineSat and/or sun king I have a question: I read somewhere that billy was credited on the song he played on let it be. Is that true? Since you have the lp you can possibly tell me. Is billy credited more tyan on the special thanks to part?

OfflineNope, it's green, like the original UK version.
The red apple was only for the U.S., I believe. I can't speak for Canadian copies, because we mirrored so many U.S. releases. But since United Artists had the film rights for the U.S., they also had the distribution rights as well. They made the apple red to mark the distinction from Capitol releases.
I guess I'm getting ahead of myself for my Class Project thread, but I saw it at a super-cool local record boutique, and I knew if I didn't buy it now I wouldn't see another one for a while.
And YES! They also had the mono 'Ram'! I've had the mono bootleg forever, but once I saw the ratty-sleeved 180g limited numbered remaster, I knew it was to be mine… The differences aren't all that massive, but it's a nice piece of post-Beatles history.

OnlineIf it was only the red apple for the US market why is it on my copy of the let it be cd? That wasnt a US release.
Why cant the Beatles, EMI & Apple do things simply instead of creating all these ifs, buts, why's and what the heck's to drive us mad?

That one has nothing to do with United Artists… in 1979 Capitol got the rights to A Hard Day's Night and Let It Be, and anyways it wasn't a US release. It's so insignificant, but I want to know the answer now.

OfflineGreat topic!
Collecting Beatles memorabilia has been a way to capture great memories for me. I’ve been a Beatles fan for years and have enjoyed collecting their music and all of the memorabilia that was a large part of the experience. Seltaeb licensed over 150 different items internationally:dolls, scarves, mugs, bath water, wigs, t-shirts, bubble gum, licorice, empty cans of ‘Beatle Breath’, badges, and many more.
Here is a link to my website with pictures of some of my collection:

OfflineI found and purchased my first John vinyl, Mind Games, from a local antique shop over the weekend! It was an exciting moment in the life of Dipsy, I must say. ![]()
My Beatles and solo-Beatles record collection is slowly growing.
As of now, I have:
1) London Town by Paul McCartney and Wings
2) At the Speed of Sound by Paul McCartney and Wings
3) Pipes of Peace by Paul McCartney
4) A 45 of the "Live and Let Die" single by Paul McCartney and Wings
5) A 45 of the "Uncle Albert/ Admiral Halsey" single by Paul McCartney and Wings
6) Mind Games by John Lennon
7) Magical Mystery Tour by The Beatles
As you can see, I have far better luck finding Paul stuff. I suppose I could technically buy records that I don't have off of Amazon or something, but you just can't beat the rush of unveiling an original Beatles vinyl at a hole-in-the-wall antique shop.
One of life's little pleasures.

OfflineI spot the occasional Red or Blue album in my thrift store excursions, myself. The 70s & 80s hits and theme collections pop up every now and then, but my personal victory was finding a vintage White Album. It's an unnumbered Apple label version, and the outside cover has pen tracings around the embossing, as well as the boys' names in bubble-lettered ballpoint ink on the back.
It cost me a dollar and it sounds like it was never played.

OfflineWow, all this is so cool! I wish I had actual memorabilia rather than just CDs. But they may be considered memorabilia soon anyways. I'll have to go hunting when I go home on a break, that's where I found a CD copy of With The Beatles. Vinyl hunting will definitely be next when I have the opportunity!
