OfflineConsidering there are going to be a lot of 50th events over the next few decades thought a thread would be good to contain them all together – if at all possible, may a bit difficult in 7 years time for the 50th anniversary of Abbey Road.
Anyroad.
50 years ago today (8th March) The Beatles (with Pete Best not Ringo) appeared for the first time on BBC Radio, the programme being Teenager's Turn – Here We Go (it was recorded on the 7th March).
They sang Dream Baby (Paul on lead vocals and the only known Beatles recording of this number), Memphis, Tennessee & Please Mister Postman (both with John on lead vocals).
All those years ago.
Joe's entry for this event is here.
