I'm with Joe - I'd wanna be Paul, for all the reasons Joe listed. It's just cool how Paul lived through all that stuff and remained a well-adjusted angst-free decent human being without succumbing to displays of rock-star assholery (aside from the occasional minor display of insecurity like the silly "McCartney-Lennon" thing.)

I'd pick as well. I wouldn't really choose to be one of the BEATLES, because I guess I'd rather produce the Beatles than BE one of the Beatles.

If I was John, I'd have drug problems, have countless affairs, and there would be that whole thing with Mark David Chapman. (Shudders at mention of name. I guess he's the Voldemort of the forum!)

If I was Paul, I would live longer, but I would lose several friends during the course of my life.

If I was George, I would be attacked by a weirdo with a knife, and die of ...

Since Joe picked Paul, my first choice too, and for the same reasons, I pick George.

Then I could not only be a beatle (with everything it means, like playing with John, Paul and Ringo), but be also a glorious guitar player, inventive and skilled.

I could be friend with lots of rock stars (who would think I'm a über-rocker in return) like, for example: Eric Clapton, I could work with Monty Python's crew and would be in the Simpsons.

And I would write "Something" the best rock ballad in this Universe, hence, everybody would love me.

Paul. He's not my favourite Beatle, but these are the reasons:

1. I'd get to work with John Lennon.

2. I'd be a mega-talented songwriter and musician: the most successful in popular music, in fact.

3. I'd have survived the 60s, avoided drug addictions and major scandal, and have come through to the other side reasonably intact (I'll gloss over the Heather Mills years).

4. I'd be having the time of my life touring the world at the age of 68.

Anything goes, guys. You can be a person who(m*) has to do with the Beatles, if you want, like Mal Evans, Yoko Ono, or even Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

You can only be one person, though. Choose carefully. (Actually, I don't really care if you choose more than one person, I just want to hear your opinions! )
