Ideas for Beatles 18th Birthday Party?

My 18th Birthday is coming up soon and I may want a party or an event of some such. When my mum asked if I wanted a party for my 18th I said no but now thinking about it, if it was to do with the Beatles then maybe I’m tempted.

I don’t really want a party where everything is themed like people come dressed as Beatles and we have banners and so on… I just think that’s a bit boring. As I’m a boy, boys don’t just stand around and talk we need to do something to keep us entertained. E.g. whenever I have friends round we always opt for playing on the Xbox/Wii as these games are a good medium to get us all laughing and having a good time.

I have Beatles Rock band with all the replica Beatles guitars + Ringo’s drums and I absolutely love playing them and belting out their songs and acting like Paul with all his mannerisms and imaging I’m on stage playing to thousands of screaming fans. It would be a dream to perform Beatles songs on stage for me. I can play guitar but not to performing standards yet.

What I’m trying to get at here is that I would love to perform Beatles Rock Band but somehow I would like to incorporate that into a party. I don’t know, it’s hard to explain what I want.

Any way if you have understood any of my ramblings and have any ideas what I could do for my 18th, let me know.

Thanks

I am no good at such things (giving adivce about social stuff), so I'll suggest that you hire Ringo to perform his greatest hits for you, because he'll be cheaper than Paul.

I told her I didn’t

I dunno… maybe you can have a competition to see who gets the most points in the game. Another idea is having the stuff in a balcony and try to pretend you're in Apple's rooftop.. don't do it outdoors thought it might be dangerous.

Go to Hamburg on a massive drug-fuelled sex binge…in homage to the Beatles of course! a-hard-days-night-george-10

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Except for the bit about Hamburg, that's I how I spent my 18th birthday. Way back then the drinking age was 18 so I may have had a frosty beverage or 2 as well. In any event, I'm sure there were Beatles songs being played at some point.

Good luck with the festivities, Chrishutchy. And welcome to the Forum.apple01

There goes my suggestion as well.  Just make sure you are listening to The Beatles the entire time of course.  a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Ringo can Yoda-speak?

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Heh, that was my 19th birthday! Started hitting those beers several hours before I could legally do so, and continued from there. And that hangover the next day made me WISH that the drinking age had been 21!

Anyways, Beatles Birthday  Party, eh?  If only they'd written a song that pertains to birthdays in some way…

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Edit : OMG I googled Beatles cakes and I found this!!! I want it!!!!!!!!
