Ok this is easy. Is there a TV show, a book, another band or something that you were interested in because it has a connection with the Beatles, and you consider it's awesome on its own?

My answer is Patrick McGoohan's The Prisoner.

Image Enlarger

When I read it was a Beatles favorite, I searched on Internet more about it, I got interested and after watching it was blown away. Now it's in my top 5 favorite shows, with House, M.D., The X Files, Inspector Morse and The Equalizer and I got a soft spot for Life (the one with Damian Lewis)

Edit Huh. Now I realize that all of my favorite TV shows but one, the leading actor was or is British. Hugh Laurie, John Thaw, Patrick McGoohan and Edward Woodward, and Damian Lewis.

2nd. Edit. Ok yes McGoohan was born in US but he was raised in England so…

My favorite band right now, the Meters, had Paul McCartney listed on their wikipedia as being a fan and having worked with them. I was just looking at random things one day and ran across them, and I thought, 'well if they're good enough for Paul they're good enough for me.'

I read the Tibetan Book of the Dead because of the Beatles, but it hasn't really sparked an interest in anything.

That's because you're not dead yet. Try it later.

Ray Charles and Ottis Redding, both of them singed covers of beatle's songs.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

Heh heh, Yoko Ono! blue-meanie

Actually, my first full-on Beatles fanship-wave, along with a TV viewing of “Woodstock” and “Monterey Pop” around the same time, were the main gateway drugs that led me to a lifelong love '60s stuff and hippie music, having missed out on the summer of love by being confined to my mother's uterus.

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Schopenhauer and Spinal Tap in the same sentence… It's all too much!
