But pot is ok?
Considering his family history, yeah, it's not the smartest thing.
Pot is less dangerous then ciggs though…I think. Sorry if I appeared as a hypocrite to you.
Let's just say it didn't make sense to me. It depends on your definition of dangerous. It terms of carcinogens, that's probably true. Less dangerous doesn't make it safe. And I can trust a smoker to drive me home.
I just feel that if an adult can enjoy a joint in the evening, then he should be able to smoke a cigarette the next morning.
Now Dhani shouldn't be smoking either, but he's an adult and allowed to be stupid if he wants. I'm sure he gets an ear full every time he calls his mom.

OfflineYeah, I kind of lost all my respect for him when I found out.
Idk. I don't mind cigarettes, but you'd think watching your father undergo years of utter hell on earth only to not make it out alive because of them would turn you away. Or at least drive you to quit.

OfflineSmoking is bad!!! Pot, not as bad but not completely good. Smoking will kill 1 in every 10 person in the world while other drugs kill less! Like pot, how many deaths actually come from the use of the plant (other than the lost hiker "accidently" running into a person's pot field in the mountians). Also, cocaine! It only kills 200 people a year! Way less than cigarettes! So I say you shouldn't smoke cigarettes but I'm not going to stop you from killing yourself!

OfflineI don’t condone smoking cigarettes but certainly understand the addiction. I actually quit twice - hopefully now for good.
The first time I quit, it was for 5 years but the addiction never really left and I started up again. The last time I quit (almost a year now) was because my wife underwent surgery to have a stent placed in an artery that was 95% blocked. It scared us both tremendously so we both vowed to quit smoking – again!
Yet even with the scare, I almost did not quit due to the incredible hold nicotine had over me. I feel for Dhani in this regard. He had a worse scare than I in losing his dad to cancer yet still smokes.
The point is, smoking does not make someone stupid. Sometimes, that addiction supercedes anything else…period.
If you’ve never been addicted to anything, consider yourself fortunate.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.

Hear, hear- no one should be quick to judge.
