I've just come across this nice-looking presentation case for the remasters and other releases: http://store.boxofvision.com/

It's quite expensive if you're not in the US, but would be a great gift for collectors. I particularly like the full-size reproductions of the original artwork – I'm surprised that hasn't been done before, actually.

Is anyone planning to get hold of a copy? The demos on the site make it look pretty good. Let me know if you've actually bought a copy, and tell us what they're like.

Argh – pressed the cancel button by mistake! Lucky it was a short post (can the cancel button be moved farther away from the "save" button?)

Anyway, I think this case looks pretty cool, and if I saw it both locally and cheap (and had the cash at the time) I'd consider picking it up. Those three aren't very likely to happen though, particularly the second one.

My music-collectable days are pretty much long behind me at this point anyway..

From what I've read on other forums, people aren't all that taken with the boxes. I think mainly they're worth getting for the full-size artwork, but people have said the mechanism for holding the CDs isn't all that great.

I'll probably leave it, as I have most of the original vinyl albums anyway. Like you, I'm not much of a collector anymore, and I'm increasingly immune to Apple's policy of wheeling out loads of merchandise and spin-offs – when I was younger I'd have got the lot, but it seems less necessary now.

As for the cancel button, unfortunately I can't do a lot about it – the forum software is a WordPress plugin, but I can't move buttons around within it. If I remember I'll suggest it to the authors though.

I was fortunate enough to be sent a copy of the Box of Vision this weekend. And oh, it's a beautiful thing. I've put a full review here: http://www.beatlesbible.com/bo…..of-vision/

In short, it's a lovely thing, though quite expensive (especially in the UK, where things tend to be more pricey than in the US), and I'm not sure I'll keep my CDs in it. If I didn't have one, though, it would absolutely be top of my Christmas list – having got my hands on it I was totally won over, especially by the book of artwork.
