This is caviar: "Strawberry Fields Forever" + Miyazaki's "Spirited Away":
Hope you enjoy.
Caviar indeed!! Spirited Away's music is awesome, but I think having Strawberry Fields as soundtrack doesn't hurt at all !! Thanks for sharing!

OfflineYou know what's just as bad? I went to go see John's piano at a local museum, and about two displays to the right of it was a display of the Jonas Brothers guitars. Like they even know how to play the stupid things, let alone warrent space in a room with the intsruments of real musicains.

Ok as you know I live in Mexico so I have heard many covers in Spanish. Some are good, some are ok.
This one is in wikipedia. A true classic. Roberto Carlos – Yo te amo. (And I love her)
this is the original Portuguese version.
I know this might make you cringe, but I think it's an awesome cover, because it can make you stand up and dance.
Tony Vega from the album Tributo a los Beatles Salsa, Hey Jude!
From the same album, again, And I love her. This version is from Jose A. El Canario Mi gran amor te di. It sounds a lot like the Santo and Johnny instrumental version.
And the Salsa Queen singing Ob-la-di Ob-la-da.
You can watch many other fantastic songs from this album, just youtube tributo salsa beatles and they're there.
Sorry if there's a Fabulosos Cadillacs fan here, but this one is terrible ..
Another one quite popular when I was a kid. Penny Lane by Los Freddies. The Spanish translation talks about a girl named Penny Lane LOL!!
To clean your ears after this.. the maestro Jose Feliciano. First he sings Pretty Woman, but wait for a beautiful version of In my Life.
You can check the covers Jose Feliciano did from the Beatles songs, actually he did an album. But please, check out his The Doors LIght my Fire. It's just amazing.

I guess this is one of the most bizarre Beatles covers.
Adios a los Beatles. Banda Plastica de Tepetixtla.

BTW You just need to search on Internet to find it.

This is really bad, in a really great way. Who doesn't love Keith Moon?
Actually it's quite sweet. It's like having your almost-drunk favorite uncle singing in a wedding impromptu.

Oh. My. Heck.
I'm not sure if this counts as "bizarre." It's pretty unique; that's why I put it here, I guess. I think it's awesome apart from the fact that the guy seems a little toolish.
This is one of the most incredible pieces of music I have ever heard. Jake Shimabukuro is a god on the ukulele. Plus he, as well as many other great ukulele players, is a huge Beatles fan.

I'm leaning towards not Bowie. It's too 'faithful' to the original if that makes any sense. I'll ask my local Bowie expert.
My local Bowie expert is out of town right now. I think it is a "No Bowie".

OfflineMy expert told me it's debatable.
In her words, "*sigh* It's hard to say. The debate lives on in Bowieland There are a
few parts that sound like him BUT it came out on an unofficial album
called Chameleon Chronicles 2. So SOMEONE thinks its him. Lol.
2:27-2:32, sounds like him. The chorus, not so much. Idk. Jury is still
out."
It certainly could be. He made plenty of odd recordings in the early days (all that Love You Till Tuesday stuff). The YouTube description suggests it was from a Top Of The Pops album – they always had cover versions of famous songs done on the cheap by session musicians.
I love the way the trumpet comes in at the wrong point towards the end. It's like they couldn't afford enough headphones in the studio and he had to guess when to play.

You should try the Beatles Complete On Ukulele podcast; every week they post a Beatles song covered, in some fashion, on the uke. They've done about a third of the canon thus far.
And for bad Beatles covers, Telly Savalas' "Something" has to stand near the top of the list as an utter atrocity.

And for the sake of completeness, here's that infamous William Shatner performance.

I HAVE UNCOVERED ABSOLUTE BLASPHEMY.
A good friend of mine showed me this a few weeks ago, knowing I'd absolutely HATE it. She knows me too well, I do. Madly so. I know you all will too. Feast your eyes on Hello Goodbye by the JONAS BROTHERS. It's terrifically horrid and cringe worthy to the extreme, so if there are any young-ears in the room, I would suggest they leave the premises; their hearing may never recover.
I also heard these posers cover Drive my Car. They failed at that too. I NEVER got into them even though I am their target age.
