I have to agree with Zig and say Rain . And The Fool On The Hill as well. And it's nice to know that someone was born the same year as I was.

Girl, perfect rhythm, harmonies and John’s voice couldn’t be better. Zig might be right about Rain though, In My Life is just about perfect, but I certainly wouldn’t argue with Strawberry Fields. I don’t know why but I’ve been thinking about those lyrics a lot recently and that song just keeps getting better because, well, nothing is real.

Thanks for your thoughts on this everyone. So many good shouts here – 'Rain ' is awesome, one of their finest psychedelic moments for sure. And 'Girl' has long been a favourite of mine – the breathy bits on the chorus never fail to raise goosebumps! Any other nominations for greatest Beatles track that didn't appear as a single?

Be sure to keep the votes coming in, word on the street is that Queen fans have been out in force at the polls so far so don't forget to show your love for the Fab Four: http://greatesthits.mygoldmusic.com/

I thought Davy Jones was David Bowie when I saw the title of the other thread, and I prefer Bowie to the Monkeesa-hard-days-night-paul-10

I told her I didn’t

In a new ‘NME‘ poll (i think there is one every year now) ‘Strawberry Fields Forever ‘ was voted as the number one Beatles song ever. The top 10 is

1. ‘Strawberry Fields Forever
2. ‘A Day In The Life
3. ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand
4. ‘Here Comes The Sun
5. ‘Blackbird
6. ‘Tomorrow Never Knows
7. ‘Across The Universe
8. ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps
9. ‘I Am The Walrus
10. ‘Hey Jude

and the full list is in the latest issue.

Apologies if this is in the wrong thread, i have no idea where else to put it.

Paul comes out better on that list than he did in our poll.

ahdn_paul_06 Based on that, does this mean that every song secretly comes from the White Album but to the rest of the world, they’re separated onto different albums?

The White Album has 30 songs on it. YouTubers must think the odds are with them.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

The White Album is called The Beatles so maybe they think that White Album is code name for their band.

Its an issue with ‘Past Masters ‘, for some reason the album doesn’t work within the world of Google and linking it to Beatles songs.

howdy everybody,

I clearly suppose That For No One is their first-class song by a ways. It has a definitely properly melody, with a very authentic use of various units, along with an out of tune piano; and the french horn solo is without a doubt specific. The story is simply cliche, but it is transferring anyhow, and it flawlessly goes along with the track. The timing is also remarkably true, with a rythm properly marked. It in reality makes me sense chills. Paul did a excellent activity.

thank you!
