It's annoying if he keeps gets things like that wrong, I guess. In his (slight) defence though, I have seen it mis-quoted like that several times.

Oh, I see it misquoted like that all the time. I expect a professor dedicating an entire course to the Beatles to have that detail right, though, especially as the difference in meaning between the two is significant (one sounds like a boast, the other more like an observation). It makes me wonder how much he gets wrong that I'm not catching.

Is there a way to give feedback to the prof? Are any of you sending him notes so he can correct his mistakes for the class?

Yeah, you're right. Suppose it makes the certificate you can get less valuable, too.

I'd be really annoyed if I'd paid for that certificate.

Surely he can be contacted; the professor.

Have a little word and tell him to buck up his knowledge, and post the link to this site. If he is half a decent tutor he should be open to feedback, criticism and learning new stuff.

Haven't had a chance. And sometimes I'm only half-listening as I'm working through this organizing project.

Just a reminder that tomorrow's the last day to take the Week 5 quiz, and also that the final week is up.

Thank Christ!

The last question is such a troll on the week 6 quiz :/

I am so proud of myself, I never watch the videos anymore but I get 9+ on the quizzes, yay for general Beatles knowledge! :D

I'd completely forgotten about this course, but today I got my Statement of Accomplishment (with distinction!) And to think some people paid $50 for a certificate.

Is anyone taking this session of the course? I started late and didn't have enough time to finish during the last session, so I'm taking it again.

Watching the Week 1 videos at the absolute last minute as usual for me! a-hard-days-night-george-9

Thanks for posting that! I was just thinking about the course (and how I forgot about it last time).

I guess third time's the charm!

I thought this blurb from The Mirror quoting Paul was amusing and relevant here:

A student taking an MA in Popular Music in Liverpool asked what Sir Paul felt about such courses with a focus on The Beatles.

In a post on his website, he said: “For me it’s ridiculous, and yet very flattering.
