We had to tell our life stories for music therapy class and we had to use music with it of course. Some girl told us one of her favourite bands was the Beatles.

New soulmate. Yes.

Yesterday on 'The Crazy Ones' which stars Robin Williams, this character was talking to Kelly Clarkson about advertising. The show was funny, but I wasn't pay attention at this moment until she said, "The Apple commercial from 1997 had John Lennon (& few other names I think like Martin Luther King Jr). My ears perked up then.

Peter Dinklage appearing on Sesame Street singing "Simon Says"… the Muppet behind him plays a sitar… gee, who was that guy that introduced the sitar to modern music? ahdn_george_08

Is she in your class then? It's good you've found someone whom you share your musical taste with. A girl in my class said she was a fan, but I think she was being polite to the new girl or something. Can't explain it really, but it didn't seem geniune. Got my hopes all up and then they were right back down again. Could really do with somebody ''real'' my age, to talk to about these guys when I get one of my urges to and I'm in a class full of ''normal'' teenagers. :(

In the video that wetroosa posted, 53 seconds Pete Dinklage loses the song and doesn't sing despite words being heard. a-hard-days-night-john-3

The amount of times I've heard that :( I remember talking about Dear Prudence for about 2 minutes, then the girl looked at me and just said "I only have 1967-1970". I just let out a sad sigh and walked away…..

Yeah and no..not really. Today she sat next to me during Psychology and I thought I'd discuss with her which Beatles song I should use in my life story, and she said: ''Let it be? Yesterday? I don't really know a lot of songs by them..'' Ugh. So long soulmate!

In ever day life when I want to talk about The Beatles to someone I think is a Beatles fan, it always ends up "but lets talk about this other band" or  "I love The Beatles, but…". paul-mccartney

There seems to be a few of these ''fans'' who only know a few songs… Do I not understand the meaning of 'fandom' or something? :D

So does that mean she didn't know Let It Be and Yesterday or those where the only ones she did know? If the later then it looks like her collection reaches to 1 and then stops like so many. Maybe one say she will look a bit deeper.

Get into a class project with her and then when discussing it outside start slipping in Beatle chat, play Beatle songs in the background and have the odd few pics of the band in your books.a-hard-days-night-john-5 I sound like a mad fundamentalistpaul-mccartney.a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

On Saturday, a friend of mine and I were talking about this, because he's big into The Beatles and sports, and I said I like to make a distinction between casual fans and hardcore fans – I think they're still fans, it's just a matter of degree. He said he likes to use the word "supporter" to describe the casual fans… and then he gets to joke about athletic supporters. :::rim shot:::

Was watching a documentary on prostitution in Britain the other day (don't ask) and apparently there's a brothel across from Abbey Road

It was only set up over the last couple of years (I think) for illegal emigrants (mainly Chinese) :)

I hung out with a friend last night, and she gave me a little gift: Beatles socks from Bloomingdales! They have an Abbey Road silhouette.

So I can say with certainty there is at least one affordable Beatles item at Bloomingdales – they're $10. And my friend told me to check back in a few weeks, because Bloomingdales regularly marks down their merchandise.

When I first read Bloomingdales, I thought the prices were going to be outrages for the socks. They want like $150 I believe for silk pockets squares.
