Meet the Beatowls!So cute!
I know the second one is John… but which of the other ones is which?
I think it's George, John, Ringo, Paul, like on the cover of…err..one of their albums (was it Beatles for sale?) It even has George's hair looking like an onion, like on the cover!
Oh, I see it now! Thanks!

OfflineWas sad today so I had to speak in Beatle lyrics for the whole day, which I luckily managed.
Local news telly told me a politician is using the "Beatles' tune: Imagine" to campaign. This made me even sadder, first Imagine is not a Beatles song. And second who would use "Imagine" as a campaign jingle.
"When I was a robber *Piano Chord* in Boston Place"
"Let's hope this turns out pretty darn good huh"
"Pete may be the best, but Ringo is the star"
Paul:"Don't be nervous John"
John:"I 'm not"

OfflineIn anticipation of our 40th High School reunion this year, every Friday I've been posting "40 years ago" YouTube clips to our class Facebook page. This week's entry is Dark Side of the Moon, and in my post I said "40 years ago today, yes today, this one hit the streets."
Immediately after writing "yes today" and in the hours since, I've been quietly singing, "Yes today, all my troubles seem so far away…" and so on. I'm probably never going to hear "Yesterday" the same way again.
What would you call a reverse-mondegreen…where you got the lyric correct at the start and then something happens to alter your perception of the words and you start getting them wrong forever? (I have the same problem with "Secret Agent Man" in that the first time I heard someone mention thinking the lyric is "Secret Asian Man" it switched tracks in my brain and now it's always "Asian" to me.)
"Reverse-mondegreen" sounds wrong. Maybe "acquired mondegreen syndrome?"

OfflineToday I was watching Full House the episode where Danny's car gets ruined. At one point when talking about the car he says "obadi obada life goes on". At the end of the episode when he gets a new car and is taking a drive with the family, a cover of "Drive My Car" is playing.
I just started classes the other day. At my school we have trimesters instead of semesters. Anyways, in one of my classes there are three Michelles.

OfflineWas watching a Simpsons repeat the other day (from the early '90s, when it was the best thing on television) and caught two Beatles references in the one episode (and it wasn't either of the three episodes with ex-Beatles):
1. Krusty the Clown's in his office. On the wall is a picture of Krusty flanked by the Beatles in their circa-1964 finery
2. Krusty's visiting the Simpsons, demands to watch a videocassette of "The Concert for Bangladesh"

OfflineOK, I was watching Charlie Chaplin's "Monsieur Verdoux" (1947) last night, and I was amused to hear him utter the line "Martha, my dear!" And I kept watching, thinking how great a Beatley Moment it would make if I kept track of all the other White Album song titles that were mentioned during the film. Here's the ones I got:
Martha My Dear
Revolution
Birthday
Good Night
I'm So Tired
I Will
The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill
Ok, I made that last one up! The rest were all real though.
Man, I lead a boring life!

OfflineThe Beatles get mentioned a lot with shows involving immortals.
Breaking Dawn Part 2, The Beatles got mentioned when a guy said he hated the British Invasion. Emmett followed with: "Even the Beatles?"
TVD, "The Beatles made the 60's somewhat bearable to me"
"When I was a robber *Piano Chord* in Boston Place"
"Let's hope this turns out pretty darn good huh"
"Pete may be the best, but Ringo is the star"
Paul:"Don't be nervous John"
John:"I 'm not"

OfflineYeah, I remember watching that at the cinema and smiling when I heard that. When we came out, my friend said to me "I take it I saw you smile out the corner of my eye 'cause The Beatles were mentioned."

OfflineSo I returned to work last week.. I've been off for almost half a year with an injury. It totally sucks because, despite being injured, not working was awesome for two reasons: I got to see my boyfriend a lot more, and I got to listen to the music I like all the time. Back to work means back to the lame radio. The only bands I like that they play are: Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, and obviously the Beatles plus John and Paul's solo stuff… which is about 5% of the time, the rest of the time it's total shite like BonJovi and Nickelback. ![]()
Basically I'm having daily Beatley moments where a song will come on the radio, and I stop caring about everything else (it's easy when you dislike your job). I was trying to serve a lady when "Let me Roll It" came on I pretty much stopped listening to her. I was thinking "uh huh, uh huh, can you just leave please so I can enjoy the song?".
Then the other day I was having a nice chat with this new kid (new to me because I haven't been there) and "Instant Karma" came on. I tired not to be rude but I pretty much cut off the conversation and was like "Oh sweet, John Lennon is on the radio.." and ran to the back to turn it up.
Whatever gets me through the day! ![]()

I hope you get better soon.
I'd probably do the same in that situation.
Thank you! I am not pain free, and probably never will be as long as I work at this job (just need to stay until May), but I am much better than I was! ![]()

OfflineI've had a similar experience where we have Sirius at the place where I started working part-time. Fortunately we haves similar tastes in music in that I'm the youngest one working there and no one objects to my choosing the "classic" rock stations. A couple of times a rare-ish Beatle or solo song has come on and I just wanted my coworker to stop talking. ![]()
Feel better.

Glad to hear you're feeling better, sucks that means a job you don't like. Hope nothing bad is happening in May.
Thank you. In May it's a good thing: We have a profit sharing plan, and the way it works is that each year you can take out half of your yearly amount, but you have to leave the other half in… for the first 3 years. After that you can quit and take the other half from each year out. So if I quit before May I would lose thousands of dollars, but after May… I'm in the money. I hope to find another job as soon as I get that money, and then leave forever.
Totally worth it.

OfflineOne of my friends posted on facebook about the video game: 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
All I think about was Revolution 9.
I was looking for The Beatles of Family Guy on youtube and I found the this along the way:
apparently someone I subscribe to commented on it. I don't even think its a Beatle related subscription.

OfflineEvery few hours the bells of the churches start ringing and they often ring a song. One of them, close to the school I used to go to (this is why I know) does Hey Jude sometimes! I just remembered that. It's weird cause the songs they ring are not popsongs. They're often just nursery rhymes so it's pretty awesome. Especially since this is a small shithole.
