OfflineI had two very comforting Beatley moments today
There's an airport near my work. This morning, I was walking across the parking lot while listening to Let it Be. Then, I heard a helicopter flying over my head. In the very moment I saw the militars patroling in the helicopter with their faces covered with masks and with heavy machine guns pointing at the ground, Paul said "And in my hour of darkness she's standing right in front of me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be".
Then, a few minutes ago, I was coming back from school while listening to Across the Universe. Some blocks before my bus stop, there was a militar humvee across the street. It was a temporary militar post, (you see these almost once or twice a week in my city) and the soldiers were checking over the cars, asking for IDs and all. To everybody. In that moment, when the bus was passing next to the militar post, John sang "Jai Guru Deva… om.. nothing is gonna change my world". I just smiled.
Edit : You might think my city is like a war zone. Not really. We haven't had shootings like …. in 2 weeks? (at least not that we're aware of). We have our normal life, just with a high rate of crimes and militars patroling the city.

OfflineBeatley moment of the month/week: My Language Arts teacher was talking about living life at it's fullest, have no regrets, etc., I wasn't really paying attention but then she said "Live and let live." and I literally yelled, "NO! It's Live And Let Die!" then blushed and muttered "Sorry, Paul song…" haha, she then asked "Paul who?" and I told her to take a guess. Since everyone know that I'm an obsessive Beatles fan, she guessed it right away.

OfflineOK, you guys know about that silly "Dark Side of the Rainbow" thing, where you watch "The Wizard of Oz" with the sound muted and use Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon as a soundtrack, and (presumably with the aid of marijuana) all kinds of magical synchronous sound-visual events occur? Well, last night I was watching a repeat of "The Big Bang Theory" while listening to the Please Please Me album (for no real reason), and the following lyrical-narrative matchups took place:
1. "…You give back the ring / To me…" - Sheldon demands the return of the prop One Ring from Lord of the Rings that he claims to have found first
2. "Chains / My baby's got me locked up in chains" – Sheldon attempts to remove the ring from a chain around a sleeping Penny's neck
3. "I'll be coming home again to you, love" - The guys arrive home at the apartment
And, uh, that's all. I was hoping for more after the first two which were totally unexpected and amazing, but no luck. Then again, I wasn't concentrating hard enough to allow for really nebulous connections, like the knock of a door coinciding with a particular Ringo drumbeat or some such.

When I created this thread, I never imagined "Beatley Moments" involving masked gunmen in helicopters.
Be safe, my friend.

OfflineActually it's funny - have you ever thought of the Big Bang guys as Beatles doppelgangers?
Wolowitz = Ringo (just look at him!)
Sheldon = Paul (perfectionist, always has to have his way)
Koothrapali = George (India, duh)
Leonard = John (centre of the group, wears glasses)

OfflineI always thought Wolowitz looked Beatle-ish. It's the haircut, and sometimes it's the clothes he wears. Whenever I say that people are like"
whatever." I'm glad you guys like the show! It's my favourite show on television right now. To paraphrase Mr. S, "it's EPIC." The 100th episode was HILARIOUS.
My Beatley moment yesterday was when I put up a bunch of new Beatles pictures in my room I guess.

OfflineThank you TheKingOfBrokenHearts
Today I went iceskating with my class, and I heard the intro to Jet! Luckily I was near the speaker so I got to stay there until it finished. I was raising my hands in the air and yelling "It's Paul McCartney!"

I'd have stuck my fingers in my ears and complained bitterly that a good Paul song couldnt have been played instead. Strange how we all have our own quirks.

On a quiz show someone gave the answer here, there and everywhere as the name of a novel by some non-beatle author. Copycat.

. Bonus points if you instantly recognize why that is a Beatley moment! I thought it was a good sign!

OfflineOh! I guess this could count as a Beatley Moment… (Not to derail or anything)
Yesterday at school I wrote 'I
Ringo Starr!' on my hand, and a girl at my school decided to tease me and say 'Ringo sucks! and so do the Beatles!' and I slapped her across the face… Then she said 'Defending your precious Beatles eh?' I yelled at her YES, then back-handed her…
