Monday, I was showing Bambi Meets Godzilla to a friend who’d never heard of it. It’s been at least 20 years since I last saw it, and I realized that it uses the final chord from A Day In The Life .
I meant to post this earlier this week, and I remembered when it happened to come up in a separate conversation today. Funny how that works.

Yup, all the pictures on those usually make people look bad.
The stories that the tabloids print are lies anyway. People like to read about what goes on in famous people’s lives. But it hurts the reputation of people. And they make a ton of money doing it. Don’t believe the lies.

Never could see any other way, am I right? That chord works well to illustrate a final and sudden death. I am amazed at the effort it took to record the final chord. Five pianos and a pump organ, and you could hear the chairs! Perfect illustration!

Offline Ok, I suppose this doesn’t technically qualify, since I “contrived” this myself, and most of you probably have cuts of Beatles songs for ringtones, but after I spent a year in the doldrums with I’m Only Sleeping and I’m So Tired , I stumbled across the perfect one:

Offline A friend of mine in school told me about how he once went around singing “I Am The Walrus ” to random kids in gym class and they all thought he was crazy!
