"McCartney will play New Orleans' Smoothie King Center and on June 26th, he will set up shop at Louisville's KFC Yum! Center"

Those are actual venue names? They really have to take a look at naming rights and how silly the names end up.

Yes, it is. The Smoothie King's previous name was the New Orleans Arena until a few months ago. Smoothie King has awesome shops; however, as a name of a sports arena….no. ahdn_paul_01

Also I'm pretty giddy that he is coming to NOLA (concert wise) after 11/12 years! Finally….heartheartheart

LA Times article on Brian's Hall of Fame induction, featuring a fan video tribute.

Edit: I didn't know that there's an official site. I like that the bio section is called Life of Brian. :->

Edit2: Full transcript of Peter Asher's speech at The Examiner.

I was really hoping that was part of the April Fool's joke.

If her cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit is anything to go by, I'd rather loop PS Love Me Do for eternity.

I might regret this once the entire cover comes out, but the teaser doesn't sound too bad. It's just a different groove.

Her singing doesn't sound good for me. I expect I'll like (or at least tolerate) the Lips' parts, but Miley Cyrus isn't the type of musician I want covering the Beatles.

I will say though, new directions with covers are normally good, which is something we can definitely expect from Flaming Lips and Miley Cyrus.

Oh no , does that mean we have video of Miley twerking against a dwarf, while she sings 'I'd love to turn you on' to look forward too?

I am just gonna pretend this isn't happening and make sure I never hear or see any of this because what is heard/seen can never be unheard/unseen and I can not risk one of my all time favourite songs being permanently scarred.

Hello Denial. Ticket for one please :)

Not something I will be hunting down but i doubt it does any harm, plus followers of Miley might look into the original and hear some talent.

Though I can hardly say I love how she behaves, with all the twerking against dwarfs and all, I must say she is a good singer. She can really sing, just check out her cover of Dolly Parton's Darlene from a few years ago. There's no accounting for taste, but you can hardly call that bad singing.

Having said that, I must also say I'm not particularly looking forward to hear her sing Beatles songs. I don't think her voice will suit ADITL

Miley just sounds like your regular auto-tuned wannabe, well to me anyway.

Anyone remember her papa's catchy #1 hit? I thought it was a great song.

I've only ever heard one song of his, know only that his daughter is called Miley and have no desire to hear anything else. I do agree the song hasnt aged well, my liking is more memory and its rarely good revisiting things of your childhood.

I am ok with Miley one thing you can say is that her new image has worked in getting her popular again. How long she remains popular remains to be scene.

Never say never, cause it's never 'never'

If you are like a new thingy than introduction your self in the into place here

If you did that then you win!

Her image consists of grinding her backside against anything that moves, snogging anyone (female is ideal but a good looking guy will do) who is nearby when a photographer is in the area, wearing as little as possible and anything else that gets attention. I seriously doubt the large majority could sing one of her songs. Sorry but it irks me that a lack of musical talent is not a hindrance to being a successful pop star.

That's a problem I have with current music. There's not much talent, just being pretty and waving while trying to pass noise off as good music.

Love how they get away with plagiarizing old tunes, and making millions off of it.

The Beatles stole bits of songs all the time so we can't complain about others nicking old tunes.

Does anyone have any Beatles news so we can get this back on topic?

There's really only so many combinations of chords you can put together. It's interesting to see the different uses of them.

A Korean ticket site crashed as fans rushed to get tickets to Paul's May concert: http://english.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2014/04/09/2014040901004.html

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.
