Italian to English Translation -April 26, 2012

Annuni Art (web site)
This free space is dedicated only to those who wish to prepare for arts events. Often, to organize an art event, we need spaces, artists, critics, presenters and … much more. Often a targeted ad can help promote the meeting of artists, gallery owners, critics, publishers, owners of exhibition space and those involved in organizing art events.

COMPANY ARTISTS – Sansepolcro (Arezzo)
presents:
"ALL YOU NEED IS PAINT"
Art collective dedicated to the myth of the BEATLES

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

The "Company of Artists" of Sansepolcro (Arezzo) is organizing an art collective dedicated to the Beatles. The Festival will take place in Brescia, on the occasion of the "Beatles Days", organized by the Fans Club "Beatlesque ASSOCIATES OF ITALY", in the days of Saturday 26 and Sunday, May 27, 2012, at the prestigious Garda Exhibition Centre in Montichiari.

Collaboration artist Silvia Chialli, and Secretary of the Society Artists and Partner, since 1994, Fans Club, has been decisive and has enabled the association of artists, can achieve such a high level. The initiative is in fact, the cooperation and kind hospitality of Roland Giambelli, President Of The Fans Club "Beatlesque MEMBERS OF ITALY" and organizer of Brescia. The exhibition is open to all Italian and foreign artists and all the techniques and forms of art on canvas laid down long square of side 60 cm. Those who had no intention to paint directly on canvas and mixed media or collage to use, they shall be used to paste the material onto the canvas, making sure to finish the job in a way that this is not much higher if not for a maximum of 4 millimeters. The survey, to be more precise, should not protrude more than 4 mm and provide a level of resistance and finish to ensure the safety and soundness.

For security reasons, will not work in the transport perishable or whose findings will preclude transportation. The paintings must be delivered strictly unframed, with the edge painted white and provided with hangers (single, central and proven).

Photographs will be accepted in the broader hospitality that we have always offered to all forms of art, provided or printed on canvas and glued onto the canvas with a level of finish and the rules listed above. You can participate with one work that must be treated, in a clear and obvious, the story of the legendary British rock band, originally from Liverpool, active from 1960 to 1970, more than others of its era in music, in costume, also in fashion and pop art, mass communication phenomenon of global proportions, were considered among the greatest expressions of contemporary music. The organization reserves the right to reject works deemed not relevant to the subject or for other reasons not subject to appeal. The history, stories, faces, places, logos, characters and related mythical Beatles LP covers can offer an infinite number of cues to participants.

The entry fee is € 30.00.

The work and the related fee may be delivered at the homes of Michael and Silvia Foni Chialli, by appointment, no later than Tuesday, May 22. For extraordinary reasons, will be agreed with the organizers who will go in person to collect it.Any additional cost of shipping, for works from distant cities will be strictly borne by the artists. The initiative will be publicized by various media and there is already intended, a number of employees, to maintain the unity of the collection for her part in subsequent events. For this purpose, except with the express intention of the artist, the works will be detained until the next exposure. The layout of the show is curated by Silvia Chialli who worked as a professional, exhibition spaces in the event of a national importance, the arrangement of the works is unquestionable.

The organization, while ensuring the most scrupulous care of the works, shall not be liable for any damage or theft in which these were to occur during stages of transport, carefully prepared by the organizers, construction and exposure. The participation of SV will be very welcomed and we hope also want to transfer this invitation to all artists and creators of your own knowledge. The organization will take care to make pictures, entrusting the task of portraying the "work", without additional cost, to a photographer of the Association, the resulting images will be incorporated into a promotional CD of the show.

Pauls 1982 appearance on Desert Island Discs has finally been made available for download by the bbc. Note that the songs he chose are not played the whole way as is the policy on every DID programme (some folks select pieces of music that last days so there is a 1 rule for everyone principle). Plus im not sure some of the songs are featured at all due to licensing issues. Still, well worth a listen and if the music thing is a disappointment just edit the songs back in.a-hard-days-night-paul-7

The (basketball team) Miami Heat have  referred to themselves as the Heatles for some time now. (How did I miss that?)

Not the first time Paul has been told to get off the stage tho.

Jon Stewart just did a piece on the Bruce and Paul thing, with John Oliver, my absolute favourite correspondent. I'm in heaven.

George Martin was a castaway on 2 episodes on Desert Island Discs in 1982 & 1995 and you can download them free from the bbc.

Interesting Brian Epstein was a castaway in 1964, unfortunately its not available to download at the moment and i have no idea if the bbc even have a copy as a lot of the earlier episodes are missing from their vaults believed wiped. Joe has an article on it

For those who have Beatles Trivial Pursuit & Monopoly another to add to your collection is Beatles Scrabble which "comes with a Beatles Twist".

I can see this being one of my christmas gifts like Monopoly was (which has never been played tho).

Wonder what the 'beatles twist' is? Things like that really bug me.

Let It Be the musical has been launched in London, replacing Mamma Mia which has the music of Abba.

Beatles Examiner has exclusive details of the Beatlised Scrabble game thats coming in September including special cards; not liking the sound of this new twist.

81 minutes of the cast members sporadically jamming and looking generally uninspired and uncomfortable!  Bring the whole family!

Ha (i would use lol but im not sure if that means laugh out loud or lots of love – damn text speak). I might enjoy that more than 90 mins of singers covering the beatles hits. I hate musicals of every kind. Anyone know if this is another of those dreadful ones where for no reason whatsoever people burst out into a song and dance number? I presume not but not going anywhere near to find out. I also wont go near a beatles tribute band.blue-meanie

Nobody uses LOL to mean lots of love – at least not anyone under the age of 80.

I did see 'Rain' last year, and I continue to like what they do.  I saw the original incarnation eons ago when they were 'Beatlemania!'.  I, too, hate musical theatre.  at least they only came across as if the Beatles were still together as a sad retro act…

And my ex used to love the movie 'Across The Universe', which I think is the most objectionable auto-tuned nightmare I've ever experienced.

SH (i cant call you Satan), i saw about 3 minutes of Across The Universe (it was Sky movies) and it was so beyond abysmal it was quickly turned off. Makes me wonder how bad the Sgt Pepper movie was.

It's beyond objectionable.  But if you watch it with some good friends you can riff on it pretty easily and make for a good time.
