I don't know. Click on the link, though – if you can see the countdown, I imagine you'll be good. But it's free to sign up anyway.

* Paul's performance on Jimmy Kimmel will be streamed at myspace tonight.

parlance

Do you have to have a myspace account to watch the performance?

It doesn't look like it when I clicked the link, but I could be wrong. You can always delete the account after the performance.

Good thing I didn't delete my old, although I thought about it several times.

Paul has reveled the artwork for his album "New".  It looks similar to the Best Buy cover.

Not sure if I like that, it looks a bit 70s/80s disco to me. Still, I know the contents will be superb.

Is the black & white just going to be for the deluxe one?

Strange. I thought I replied to this. Anyway.

Agree with Emily in that the coloured version reminds me of the 80's and rubbish discos. Would rather have the b&w cover.

I seen in it stretched out form, the vinyl cover, on Jimmy Kimmel and it doesn't look that bad. I still prefer the the b&w one.

Speaking of which I don't know its been mentioned, it might be too late, but people who live in the UK, Australia, & New Zealand can also watch Paul's performance after the show (Jimmy Kimmel) on myspace. Parlance has already provide the link.

* The Mirror posted a previously unseen photo of Paul and John courtesy of Tune In.

* The LA Times has a complimentary review of Paul's performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I'll post more JKL-related links at the Out There thread.

* Via Beatles News: a new film about Beatlemania during Franco's Spain, "Living Is Easy With Your Eyes Closed," was screened at the San Sebastian film festival.

There is book coming out on John Launois entitled L'Americain: A Photojournalist's Life which includes his work with the Beatles. The bbc have a 2 1/2 minute video on it which features his son (Chris) talking about the photoshoot with our Fab Four (you also get to see some of the pictures taken).

* Ringo received the French Medal of Honor. Another photo of him with the medal (and Barbara) at the Beatlefan FB here.

* Mojo has an excerpt of their latest interview with Paul here. Of note:

“With Yesterday, singing it now, I think without realising it I was singing about my mum,” says McCartney. “Because I think now, ‘Why she had to go, I don’t know, she wouldn’t say, I said something wrong…’ I think the psychiatrist would have a field day with that one…”

* Nikki Sixx did an interview with Paul in Vegas that will be available Oct. 7. There's a teaser at his site.

* Top of the Pops photographer Harry Goodwin passed away. Paul was one of his visitors at the hospital. Here are a few examples of his Beatles photos: 1 2 3 4

Congrats Ringo!

The Legion of Honor Museum in Paris is fascinating. http://www.musee-legiondhonneur.fr/00_koama/visu_lh/index.asp?sid=320&lid=2

I wonder why Ringo had to force his smile in picture #1 from Goodwin?

Oops, *of honor, not or honor.

They all look tired in that photo. Paul's the only one being his usual chipper self.

* The Examiner has a fan account from inside the Simply Shakespeare benefit. Paul put on quite a show!

* Paul's site has a contest to design his Facebook cover photo for "New."

Man, I actually have an idea for this that would be great if I could, y'know, design. Maybe a collaboration with a more talented forum member?

OMG, that sounds like a recipe for a train wreck. I hope the audience enjoyed it, and that Tom Hanks had fun. If a video ever surfaces, I don't know that I'd dare watch it. O_O

That account was so funny – Tom Hanks certainly seems to enjoy his 'Beatles moments' doesn't he?

Yes, It sounds like he set up the entire event around his own Paul McCartney Fantasy Concert Wishlist.
