Another Beatles record has been broken :(
Singer Emeli Sande now has the record for the longest time a debut LP has been in the top 10 UK charts with her album "Our Version of Events" staying in the top 10 for 63 weeks breaking The Beatles previous record of 62 weeks with "Please Please Me".

http://m.hollywoodreporter.com.....-uk-448302
Although I'm not a fan, good on her but I'm still sticking with my Beatles, she stayed in the top 10 with the help of digital sales whilst Beatles fans had to go to record stores to buy The Beatles albuma-hard-days-night-john-1 I have excuses for everything a-hard-days-night-george-10

Slate.com has been following the history of The Beatles 50 years later in "real time," and I really like the series. This week, the blog is on John's relationship with Brian.

* A rare '64 interview with Brian Epstein is available online for the next 4 days.

* Paul and James's dates for Bonnaroo have been announced: Paul's on the 14th, James on the 15th. Good Ol' Freda will also be there.

Also, thank you, Joe, for pinning this topic in the forum!

^^^  Just saw that on fb. I saw the words ''date'' ''announced'' ''Manchester'' and I screamed. Then I realised that it was Manchester, US :(

Am I the only one who was happy to see that over half of the songs are Beatles songs?

Geometry, wisdom, tangerines... "The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say..."

Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

Purple stuff... ellipses...

BBC reporting Paul sang some new beatles live last night and thus making their first appearances in an actual concert featuring a beatle. Says a lot that this is making the news. Tho im pretty sure the Beatles only mimed Eight Days A Week back in '65 but im willing to be wrong.

^^ I imagine he did that when the album debuted, and you can probably find clips on YouTube.

A recap and links to fan videos from last night's concert here.
