HeyTrud, you’re right – there are other memorabilia threads. I think memorabilia is wonderful; it really makes you feel connected. I’ve collected a long time (and the stories behind the memorabilia got me writing Into the Sky). Three of my favorite Beatle pieces are a copy of Lennon’s In His Own Write signed by all 4 Beatles, a copy of the album Meet the Beatles signed by all 4 (they’ve each signed over their faces and John’s added “To Anne, Love…”), and the full 28 page programme of the Royal Command Performance (where John made his ‘rattle your jewelry’ comment) signed by all 4 Beatles + signed by Marlene Dietrich, who at the time, was more famous than the Beatles.

^^ Wow, that’s some memorabilia!

I hope to build up a collection of my own eventually.

I am extremely jealous! I’ve got a couple of signed bits and bobs by some of their wives/family but none by any of the actual Beatles :(

Wow…Into The Sky….I am sooo jealous too!  I would LOVE to have ONE Beatle autograph…but all four…twice over!  VERY jealous!  That is really cool.  I would call what you have absolute treasure!!  I agree, it makes one feel connected.  I will have to check out your book, also.  It sounds really interesting!

I will someday get a picture on this thread of all my Beatles stuff.  My girlfriend and I’s room is covered wall to wall with Beatles posters, we got some blankets, probably about 20 Shirts between the two of us, a couple handfuls of Beatles magazines, a couple vinyls, pint glasses, shot glass, coffee mugs, wallets, lanyards…all sorts of fun stuff.

I went to a flea market in town the other day and someone complimented me on the shirt I was wearing.  He then told me about a guy who is a janitor at the school he attends who has a warehouse with over a million dollars worth of Beatles memorabilia.  I must locate this warehouse…blue-meanie

^^^ The worrying thing is how you’ve discovered that you’re good at picking locks….

I know when I do begin to buy memorabilia, I’ll be very cautious because the amount of things on ebay with all four of the signatures on makes you believe that most of them are fake  blue-meanieblue-meanieblue-meanie

My recent clean-out of my garage has led me to find loads of Beatles stuff I’ve collected over the years. If anyone is interested:

A lot of clippings, ads, articles, postcards, greeting cards, glossy photos, etc I collected in the early to mid 1990s.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/drblur/set … 602571514/

My favorite Beatles books (I’ve whittled my collection down, getting rid of the crap books. And sadly, a few excellent books I’d bought 20 years ago in London were ruined in a flood and I had to throw them out :-( )

http://www.flickr.com/photos/d…..106454640/

My old posters. I just found a bunch more in my garage the other day so I need to photograph those, too.

For anyone who has wondered what this is since it came out a few years ago, The Beatles Box of Vision:

Likewise The Beatles in Mono boxset (I HIGHLY recommend this! It’s the only way to listen to them, IMO!)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/d…..143241702/

Beatles pint glasses I got for Christmas several years back:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/d…..565983507/

Beatles mugs from the Beatles Story in Liverpool (a friend of mine who lives there brought these over to the US for me when he visited back in the late 1990s)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/d…..304660127/

http://www.flickr.com/photos/d…..304660309/

I’ve also got probably 20 Beatles t-shirts I used to wear back in the 1990s and 3 of those official Apple Corps. Beatles watches (the ones in the guitar-shaped boxes), as well as more posters. All of that stuff is at my parents’ house…I need to dig it out next time I go visit them!

Anyone, I don’t mean to spam, just thought I’d share! :D

Very cool! But double-check your settings – at least two or three are set to private.

Whoops! Thanks for the heads-up, I changed it. Flickr has been acting weird lately, even when I change the permissions, it reverts them back to private for whatever reason…:-?

Odd. Your pint glasses are still private. I really wanted to see those! :-> What is the Beatle Box of Vision?

I’ll try to fix those glasses!

The Box of Vision is a hard-bound box that has CD sleeves for holding all of the Beatles CDs and liner notes in chronological order (I put my old ’87 CDs in there) and also two really nice books. One is a “Catalography” that details all of their US and UK releases and compares the track lists, mixes, and artwork (written by Bruce Spizer). The other book is a hardbound book that has LP-sized prints of all of the UK and US album artwork, including the posters/inserts/etc. It’s especially nice to have the MMT booklet in such large size! The box is usually over $100 (which, for what it is, I think is overpriced) but I found it on sale at my local record store for $50 a while back and it’s on sale for about that much online quite often.

This is the set of glasses I own.

AAAADITEasoAAAAAARZACw.jpg?v=1292473862000Image Enlarger

As I’ve mentioned in the past, I only use these to toast each Beatle’s birthday. I fill the glass with an adult beverage, face toward Liverpool and wish him a Happy Birthday (yes, I use a compass to make sure I am facing Liverpool – my wife just smiles and nods).

Ringo’s got used last Sunday and John is next up in October!

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.
