I dreamed I was on the stage with the Beatles. I saw Paul and then John to my left and behind me a piece of the front of Ringo’s riser but not Ringo. From My point of view it would have made me George Harrison who I did not see. The audience was fairly close to the stage. Some boys, mostly girls. While playing the girls started saying they didn’t like the concert and started demanding their money back. John and Paul reached into their pockets, said they didn’t have any money on them but they would give them back their money right after the concert. The girls said that wasn’t good enough and they started to come towards the stage with their arms out to rip the Beatles apart. I woke up really scared. Not exactly a pleasant dream.

That was just their excuse to get their hands on a Beatle. I’d use it myself if the situation allowed.

On Monday night (or Tuesday morning, I suppose it was) I dreamt that I was playing along with Eight Days A Week on an electric guitar that I’d just acquired… the actual chords, too, and it was the actual song. I guess they’re both so deeply embedded in my brain that even my subconscious knows them perfectly. a-hard-days-night-john-1 Although one thing was different… during the last ‘eight days a we-e-ek!’ bits, at the end, they sang ‘eight days a we-e-ek!’ once and then ‘I’m pretty sure!’ twice after that… try singing it to yourself– it sounds rather strange, though it seemed quite normal in the dream.

Basically last night I had a dream where I was in a car and I crashed into the ocean, I thought I had died but I saw a light and I appeared in this bright and sunny area that looked almost like you think Egypt would.  George Harrison was there in the car crash with me, it was the 1969 version of him. ahdn_george_08  Then when we were in the light it was young George I saw, from I can’t remember exactly which era…weird but cool dream.

It's all in the mind!

^ Perhaps it was GH’s inner light?

I had these two dreams back-to-back a few nights ago. I have been forgetting to post them.

I was in a funky little shop that was crammed full of rock-n-roll knick-knacks. There were these little cute EP cds from all kinds of bands and solo artists. I had found a few Beatles ones and two Ringo solo career ones, and I asked my mom to help me find John, Paul, and George solo ones. I had lots of little goodies in my hands, and I was looking around for a basket to put them all in so I could keep looking for things to buy.

I was helping 1964 Cynthia Lennon do laundry. One of my tasks was to match socks. Hummmmm, I wonder where that part of the dream came from, @meanmistermustard, @trcanberra, @Starr Shine?, @natureaker, and @Wigwam?

EDIT: I forgot the 40 on your name AD40 when I hit save so you won’t have a mention. Oops.

I was watching Ringo record and mix a song about the stages of a man’s life told through the shoes he wears in his lifetime. I remember something about not being born with shoes on your feet and not needing shoes when you’re dead.

Yeah, I can’t figure out where that dream came from either.

I had the loveliest dream last night…

It started with Little Girl and I in our living room listening to a Beatles album which it might have been Revolver ; I’m not sure. I got the impression that a Harrisong was playing. Of a sudden, some folks walked up the drive and among them was

george_rain.jpgImage Enlarger

Yep, he looked just like that.

He motioned for me to come out, and so I did. He was now late-90s George, but I hardly noted the discrepancy (I supposed the previous face was a mask or something) as he offered me his arm and a promenade round the garden. (Or something like that. The details are a little vague, but it seemed we spent a long while ‘hanging out’, as they say.)

When it came time for him to depart, he gave me a great long hug (longer, perhaps, than was strictly proper a-hard-days-night-john-6). In the interest of complete disclosure I must confess I found it very satisfying.

Then I woke up– and spent time re-living the dream, which I had not wanted to leave at all, and trying to remember it for later *coughcough*. It made me so very happy as I hadn’t had a Beatles dream in the longest time, and this one was extremely nice. heart

A few days back I had a dream about me rescuing the Beatles from the 1963 London Palladium fiasco. I offered them a lift in my car. 😀

I envy you @Beatlebug , I wish I had dreamt about something romantic, but all I get are silly James Bond type dreams. Not that Bond is silly, but you get the idea. Boo! 🙁

I had a semi-fab dream last night. If I recall correctly, it started with some random Forumpudlian looking up something on YouTube. Anyway, he found his way to a Sean Lennon song (which was the product of my imagination).

Then it was happening real-time: Sean Lennon and his band were performing (I think on television) and the special guests of the evening were…

ladies-and-gents.gifImage Enlarger

Or Paul, George, and Ringo, at least. It was post-December 1980.

Anyway, they came on stage and sat in some chairs and chatted for awhile… and that was about it, really. I don’t remember what of they spoke, only that it was very brotherly and confidential stuff– the kind of thing that made you forget they ever played the Sue Me, Sue You Blues. It was heart-warming, really.

Then it went on to this other thing that had me driving a car, terrified, and hoping to god I didn’t 1) smash into something or someone and 2) get arrested for driving under-age, without a licence, and without really knowing how. I hate dreams like that.

But the Beatley dream made up for it.

EDIT: I think someone was humming a Beatles song in the dream. I can’t remember which one though. But it was there.

I’ve had a few fab Beatley-Georgey dreams lately…

A few weeks ago I dreamt I was reading someone (I think meanmistermustard) had posted (I think in Fiendish Thingies) some article about George that was written by George himself. It was round ‘When We Was Fab’ time, and he was recounting his adventures chasing some Japanese lady (before you ask, yes he was married).

I didn’t get to read all of it before I had to wake up, but I remembered to save the link… then I woke up and realised it wasn’t real. a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

I also had this dream where George and Dhani (both of late-nineties vintage) were visiting. I don’t remember much except that George was… a bit grumpy, really. You couldn’t really get friendly with him. He was not the nice George I had dreamt of in post 1011, but then, he had cancer, so you had to give him a break. Actually, Dhani was a lot nicer, and we got quite chummy, chatting about our favourite Beatles tunes… I think we were listening to Beatles For Sale

I do remember taking my guitar out as George was preparing to take a nap, and he said something like, ‘Ahhh, thought you’d play for me, eh? Well, not now!’ and I answered staunchly that I was only playing for myself, even though in truth I had been hoping that very thing. See? Grumpy.

I ended up playing Here Comes The Sun for Dhani instead, who was much more appreciative.

Then, last night, I dreamt something verrrrrry interesting… it starts as some song comes on the radio which started with very sitar-y noises and I mention it had been produced by George Harrison , and then I turn to George, who happens to be sitting there, for confirmation and he says yes. I proceed to ask him several technical-musical questions (the sorts of things a Beatlefan asks a Beatle, you know). Then he asks me to join him privately for tea, as he has something to tell me…

(My dream-mind informs me that he’s going to tell me that we’re cousins on his mother’s side.)

So George sits down in the provided seat, and takes his tea. Then he leans over and whispers in my ear, ‘You’re my daughter.’

beatlemaniacs_02_gif WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dream-self takes it quite calmly, however, though I note that this was a departure from what I’d expected. In the dream, all my life I’d thought I was an orphan, but apparently not.

Then I pluck up the courage to ask, ‘What about my mother?’ And he confesses he doesn’t know.

beatlemaniacs_02_gif WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTT?????????!!!!!!!!!!! #2.

Then we begin discussing technical matters of wills, namely, his leaving me his fortune without revealing our relation. I suggest he could take me on as an apprentice, so it would appear seemly.

When I woke up, I spent a long time replaying and digesting the dream, which made me feel very strange about myself… I had to forcibly remind myself to wake up and ‘Be Here Now’.

(On further consideration, I should have just told him, ‘I don’t need money; I just want your guitars.’ a-hard-days-night-george-10 )

Can you tell I’ve been thinking of secret children too much lately? *coughScarletLettercough*

I had a really weird dream last night where I was at a theatre in Galway watching Dhani’s band thenewno2. It was like one of those “An Evening With….” and thenewno2 were there. For some reason it was all booked-out, you know, because thenewno2 are really famous a-hard-days-night-paul-10. I was sitting in the 4th row and there was some asshole in front of me who kept on yelling at me for kicking his chair (I wasn’t….I swear a-hard-days-night-john-6).

Anyways, out come thenewno2 and it was a completely different line-up than what it normally is and the only people who I recognised were Dhani and Oli (the old drummer and original member of thenewno2). Then cocky-dream-ASJ shouts up to Dhani “where’s Frank?” (why I picked Frank out of the whole newno2 lineup I don’t know, I prefer Jeremy) and Dhani looked really pissed-off at me and said nothing. So on they go playing but it is some really weird electronic-crap that sounds nothing like their usual stuff so I think I yelled at them again (it’s funny ’cause I would never do it in real life). Anyhoo the man in front of me gets really annoyed at me and starts yelling me and I yell back at him.

I just remember Dhani being really-grumpy and obviously not enjoying himself at all, while I was a pain-in-the-ass for everyone around me because I kept on yelling and messing during the gig.
