Cool epic dream, @parlance. I haven’t had a Beatles dream in a long while, certainly not since the thread was rebooted.  I think my last one was the one with George Harrison ‘s 1971 solo debut.

I wish Paul would braid my hair

Image Enlarger

Actually…wait no I don’t- I’ve got very curly hair that would be quite difficult for the amateur braider that (I imagine) Paul is.

Last night I dreamed (among other things) I was at a restaurant and I met 1970s Paul. He was out to dinner with Linda and some other people whom I suspect are figments of my imagination. I came round and sort of tried to talk to him, but he was in a rather grumpy mood (which is not very in character, now I think of it). I told him I wouldn’t bother him for an autograph, and after that the dream changed.

*sigh* So much more fab to dream he’s braiding one’s hair…

Paul was all over my dreams last night. ahdn_paul_01

I came to his house and he gave me a private concert, and then we went for a drive. He was very nice and chatty the whole time (unlike the last dream). I had a grand time.

Now when will George take me driving and give me a private concert? (Ooh, maybe some guitar tips would be nice too…)a-hard-days-night-george-9a-hard-days-night-george-10

Glad to see I’m not the only one having Beatles dreams. Not sure I can share mine though. I’d be quite embarrassed to admit the things I’ve dreamt… a-hard-days-night-paul-7

@Mademoiselle Kitty >^..^<, we have just the thread for those dreams – our Fifty Shades thread

And you will probably like this thread too.

And I hope your dreams are as good as (hopefully better than) this one I had https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..7/#p128756

If you’re wondering why mmm posted my dream, there was an oops slip of the mouse that deleted the entire dreams thread last July. Several forumpudlians joined forces to recreate the thread using the Wayback Machine and other sources. I can only imagine mmm’s mutterings and facial expressions when he made that post.

Haha, it’s not that raunchy, just somewhat embarrassing sometimes.

There are more innocent dreams too. For the last 2,5 years, I’ve been contemplating moving to London. I’ve completely fallen in love with the city and I feel more at home there than in my own country. Anyway, I’ve been having a very interesting London-based dream lately in which I find myself sitting on a Kensington Gardens park bench and Paul sits down next to me. We get a conversation going and end up the best of friends. There have been several variations to this theme, but apparently some part of me wants to befriend Paul. Oh well, who doesn’t, eh?

I had my share of Beatle dreams but there’s this one that felt supernatural.

I bumped onto Lady Madonna one day when I was sixteen and still discovering Beatles. I knew pretty much all their songs since I was born, but that was the time of discovering things right under my nose, and blah blah, you get it.

The thing is, I fell in love with that piece and decided to learn it on piano. Stubborn as I am, I accepted no tutoring, no ready-made solutions, I went at it with my ear, as I have much confidence in my musical hearing.

Enough boasting, especially with how poorly I fared with the song for a long time ;) to the point:

I spent days figuring it out. Morning till evening, and listening to it into the night. And I was getting close, albeit not quite.

And then I dreamt:

I was back at my piano, playing Lady Madonna . I finished it, and turned around with a smirk to face Sir Paul McCartney , sitting on the couch behind me. I looked to him for praise or scolding. But he was displeased (duh).

‘No, you got it wrong’, he says, ‘Let me show you how it goes’. I stepped aside while Sir McCartney took my seat at the piano and played the song for me to learn. I couldn’t remember how he played it and it pained me so upon waking until I sat at the keyboard and something new simply dawned on me. It was so much better than what I was doing up to that point.

I think that he has actually shown me something in that dream, and more than just this one song. This single dream, be it the climax of my efforts or paranormal activity, reworked my whole musical perception in a way.

So there.

If George was driving he could very well end up killing you so be thankful you haven’t :P

He almost killed Pattie when he crashed his Mercedes in 1972 as he was speeding. She ended up with a concussion and broke a few of her ribs- as she hit the windshield and went unconscious, all George needed was some stitches.

He also crashed his Jaguar sometime in ’64

Here’s an off-topic fact: All of The Beatles have destroyed one of their cars at some point in their lives, I think Ringo was the only one who didn’t wreck a car during the Beatles’ period but he did do this in 1980

Back on topic: I haven’t had any Beatles dream recently….unfortunately.

I had this bizarre dream where Jim McCartney goes crazy after the loss of his wife and forces Paul to dress up like his mom.

My dreams were full of George last night. They were very confusing, but I do remember something about meeting him, his showing us around some place, arguing with myself as to whether or not I should give him a hug, deciding against it… and then later, I realised that he’d died, yet I still kept hoping against hope that I’d get to meet him…

I should have just given him that hug! a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

Okay, so last night I managed to drag George back for a few more dreams (he’s been somewhat elusive lately). It was a queer sort of sleep where I wasn’t very deeply asleep, and could sort of control what I was dreaming, just barely, so I remember sort of thinking, “Let’s see if we can get George in, and oh, here he is, and oh my gosh, it’s GEORGE HARRISON… This is awkward. How do I give him that hug?” Well, he kept slipping away, and I kept going after him (and I think Dhani and Olivia were in there too), but somehow, the hug never happened.

ERGH! a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

Back to the drawing board… ahdn_george_01

Interesting. I never have the same dream twice. Some I wish I would, just because they were so enjoyable to have. Like the one where Paul gave me a private concert and took me driving. a-hard-days-night-paul-7
