I don't know if this is the proper place for this thread, but I will go with it anyways. I was really wondering if yall know of a good web-site in which you can actually listen/download bootlegs, and just session tapes. There are so many that will tell you what is on them, but don't allow you to actually listen, and that actually makes it worse. I know you can go to YouTube, but searching for the songs individually is a joke, not to mention the random assortments of names that they may have. I hope yall can help me out.

Thanks

You can start here: http://musictravellerstwo.blogspot.ca/

The download link for any album is in the comment section.  I'll leave it to you to figure everything else out, but if an idiot like me can do it then so can you.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 The only thing to point out about this site is that the majority of links are to the Megaupload cloud storage site which was closed down by the American Department of Justice on 19 January 2012 for copyright infringement. Any link that begins http://www.megaupload no longer works…

The Purple Chick albums are currently being upped over here for those, if any, who are looking for them.

The Clock That Went Backwards Again has Japanese editions of the Complete BBC Sessions up for download.

Just scroll to about halfway down the page, click "comments" and the Filefactory links are there.

Someone has started up a blog called Blanco Records where you can get concept bootlegs created by the blogger – a cool original idea if you ask me. So far it's got material, from amongst others, Paul, Led Zeppelin and Dylan up – The Beatles are also there but the link is wrong and takes you to a dead end.

Its basically another place to get outttakes, demo's etc but done in a different way.

I downloaded the .zips from Paul, but when I tried to extract the songs, it said it was empty. Any idea why? The same thing happened with the Wilco one.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8The Paul ones from Blanco worked for me. Hopefully mmm or one of the other tech-savvy folks can help you out.

No idea. The Paul files are definitely there and come as mp3's. Only thing i can suggest is trying again. Sometimes its down to the web browser you're using, IE can be a right pain, so if you're using that i'd suggest going elsewhere (FF, Chrome).

Off-topic: Does anyone here still use IE, it's incredible how bad it is (slow, clunky, temperamental) when you go and use it after a period of time with the others?

Totally agree about the intolerable slowness of IE. I'm glad FF is in my life.

Wandered upon this, haven't used it yet so no idea about its downloads but certainly looks interesting.

I'm definitely not using IE. On Chrome. I might be doing something wrong with Windows, it seems like it's downloading right, it's like it's Windows' fault.

Tried it, the downloads are horrible, they use this site that makes you pay if you want it done in less than an hour. Which sucks because those live Paul albums look fantastic.
