Jim McCartney (Paul’s dad) on Paul’s appearance as a baby:
“He looked awful. I couldn’t get over it. Horrible. He had one eye open, and he just squawked all the time. They held him up and he looked like a piece of red meat. When I got home I cried, the first time for years and years. But the next day, he looked more human. He turned out a lovely baby in the end.”
I found some many dirty ones but they were so funny, have to remind myself that this is meant to be (relatively) suitable for all ages.

Offline @parlance, its mentioned in this 27th July 1993 newspaper article (middle column) as coming from the making of video for the ‘Hope of Deliverance’ promo video (the relevant part snipped and attached below). I wonder if video footage is out there, would love to see Paul singing it.

Edit2: I just realized the guy playing Smithy is the one who’ll be replacing Craig Ferguson in the Late Late Show spot next year.
So funny to see Paul joking about his legacy like that. I feel like when he does comic bits in the US, they’re nowhere near as edgy.
