I couldn't get past the first two seasons. I find I'm developing a low tolerance for melodrama with age.

Oh Goodness, I've been laughing at that Downtown Abbey Road clip for nearly ten minutes now.

^ parlance, you're not the only one with low tolerance for these soapy shows, just for the record; I couldn't get past the third episode.

I don't watch t.v. much - at all - but I will watch DA this season. I'm not sure if my mom has calmed down from being so mad at the way season 3 ended. It's like the writers harmed her personally. It was a very strong reaction.

i'm sorry if this link is already somewhere in this huge thread, but i just stumbled over it and found it really funny (but don't watch if you don't like bad language and insults a-hard-days-night-george-10)

"'ll beat you so bad you'll weep gently
like George Harrison

you're Paul McCartney's b*tch,
with less talent than Ringo

and I'd rather suck George Bush's d*ck,
than Yoko Ono's" - this part made me really laugh! :D

Vulture.com post from 2011 of fake Coachella posters. How is Sgt. Pepper's that far down the list?!

There are a few others on youtube, maybe one of those will work.

Its also a really good song meaning its easy to enjoy it a few times without getting fed up.

Oh, yes, the first one worked, and it was the Ready Steady Go performance with the guys. Cute!

He was! The whole bit was adorable, though you could hear the audience gasp when George fake-slapped her.

Regarding the Helen Shapiro clip, its quite something to think that the Beatles were her support act on tour in early '63 yet when this clip went out (October) her chart career was all but over (the song flopped) whilst the Beatles were huge and getting bigger every day. Of course by the end of the Shapiro tour the Beatles were the main draw anyway.

Her reactions to John, Ringo and George also contribute to the fun of the clip, especially when Ringo rests his head on her shoulder.

From this article:

The Beatles’ “moptop” would be the band’s indelible image, ushering in a new age of follicle freedom...

Follicle freedom...ha!

Does anyone know the significance of why someone would pick each of these characters/animal for each of the Beatles?

^^ Ummm... no, not sure. Still, I like random. The reindeer's particularly cute (I take it that's meant to be George). And what is the pink thing meant to be?

I'm thinking the pink thing (haha, I mean John) is a ram.
