1: A George Harrison and John Lennon Adventure

in: "Come Together"

 

2:

George: "Hey, Soda Stereo [Argentine band], Led Zeppelin and The Police reunited last year, now Los Cadillacs [Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Argentine band] are coming back. Let's The Beatles come back, dude!"

John: "Are you joking with me? are you stupid?"

News:"ANOTHER SWINDLE: CADILLACS ARE COMING BACK"

John: "Maybe you don't realize, but we're dead!"

George: "Uh, always the downer, dude" "Get a grip, man"

I'm sorry! but I had to post this. It's so funny, and in the same time shows how The Beatles are so incorporated in common life in Buenos Aires.

This is a jewel, because G. Sala could be awfully gross (and funny at the same time) in his comics, but in comparison, this is a respectful joke coming from him.

I didn't know him, so I googled some of his comics and they're just gross and FANTASTIC! I like comics from Argentina. I used to read Boogie El Aceitoso in Proceso magazine… awesome. And of course I love Quino.

 

(this comic strip was written in the 60s)

1. Singing "the sun of the motherland shines filling the souls with looove"

2. Teacher : "Ok girls and now.."

    Mafalda : "Miss"

    Teacher : "Yes dear?"

3. Mafalda : "Why don't we sing…"
