Jimmy Fallon? Yeah, it *is* pretty well known in Beatles-lore how Yesterday came about, complete with the first placeholder lines. I'm sure the rest was either run through once or made up on the spot. The lyrics seemed pretty basic.

I read this thread awhile ago, found capslock_beatles on LiveJournal (Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Capslock Band), and laughed my head off. (Fair warning, the humor may not be for everyone.)

They haven't updated their page, it seems, since mid-October. I wonder if it's been completely abandoned. I kind of miss it.
