Ringo openly admits that it got to the stage where both he and Barbara had completely lost the plot and knew they HAD to do something about it.

He's not touched alcohol now for many a year, plus he's looked after his food intake and I guess he shows the benefit. Not a bad body for a coming up to 70-year-old.

Yup, it's amazing how good Ringo looks! Paul's not too shabby, either… well, yeah, he does love his weed, but he's also a runner, no? I think he's slowed down only recently.

That picture always cracked me up, though… George with his Van Dyke beard and Colonel John… I can't believe the artist could have ever thought the Beatles would become so uncool! It just goes to show you how young and new the rock star thing still was in the 60s… there were no old rock 'n' rollers at that point, so they had no clue that you could be 70 and still rockin'!
