I think ebay is as simple as starting an account, taking pictures on a camera, and then uploading them with a few details, and ebay would probably have an easy how to start guide.

Shouldnt be too difficult getting information on the magazines. Or you can contact a seller/collector in person or online. The Beatles Book Monthly editions are all over the web and as an example this site lists issues from 1986 to 2000 for sale for £4 each but there are tons of sites that will held you gain an idea.

1) To get a sense of value, you can go online auctions (eBay being the biggest) and see what this type of material is selling for.

There is also a book out there (if not more than one) that gives values for Beatle memorabilia.

It also lists some of the fakes out there (such as a "vintage" tray I bought 15 years ago that has a 50-50 chance of being fake...)

2) Put it on eBay yourself, and if at least 2 people are interested, you're off to the races.

3) Don't sell each thing individually (i.e. each magazine). Sell the whole thing as a ...

Thats Awesome!!!! Not bad for a days work.

My Dads was asking today how the search was going, I told him slow and aggravating. He then produced some magazines and a post card for me to sell. The magazines are from the 20th anniversary etc and the post card is again dated 1963 but That could just be the date of the picture. I have no Idea about how to post these up for sale...

Was looking online for the mirror above (no joy at all) and came across a site that sells beatle memorabilia. Its selling a beatles mirror for £260 and i have the very same mirror!!! Was given it as a gift when helping someone empty a flat. I thought it was a worthless. This is the one:

I'm Beginning to think the only way to find anything out about this is to put it up for sale.

It's the only way any one is going to show interest. I have had about 5 different emails saying the same thing because I wasn't going to sell.

Well I have had a reply from a dealer via Email which goes thusly:

Thank you for your enquiry. I will be happy to assist you if I can. The mirror is of little interest to Beatles Memorabilia dealers and collectors because it is fairly modern. That is; it is post 1960s, which is the period we are mainly interested in, because this was when the Beatles were still together and recording.

It could have been produced at any time between the 1970s and the present day...

So that closes the date range between 1970 to 1983 (taken ...

I'd say, off hand, if it's authentic it's probably 1964, a mirror made to be sold at the American concerts, or just in general stores. And they were probably sold in the UK as well, because they were selling so well in the States. I'm not positive, but in 1964, they were selling everything Beatley.

I Completely agree, I had another look at the back of the mirror to see if anything was an Identifyable mark. turns out its red paint on the back.

If I come across anything at all I'll keep you all updated.

Lozhazie, you're right. It's rather difficult. But that's the problem with collectables. How do you know?

Beatle memorabilia has gotten very pricey; it's very cost-effective for people to create fakes - fake insofar as to claim that it's an "original" dating back to the 60s.

Since Beatle-related items have been created continuously for 50 years, how does one tell which decade a given item is from?

There needs to be something about that item that ...

Ok, there were some technical terms in there that I didn't understand.

I can Narrow it down to between 1983 and 1962.

As for taking the mirror apart, that sounds hard as it's literally just a white back on the mirror the picture is on the other side of that. No paper.

Also thanks MeanMister, I now know that its from the Love me do photo shoot. See weeks of trying to contact dealers and squat two days on here and I already know more than I did.

The picture is from the very early years, 1962-1963.

The mirror itself could be from any time in the last 50 years. You'd practically have to take the mirror apart and test the paper, ink, etc... to see if it's d'epoque.
