You see this is where i deviate from the rest of the universe as i have zero desire to go to see somewhere the Beatles once were and had their picture taken for an LP cover. And surely if thats the reason why folk want to go why dont they also head to the Palace Court Hotel in Bournemouth and find the room where the cover of ‘With The Beatles ‘ was shot or head to Hype Park and try and find the trees the Beatles stood near for ‘Beatles For Sale ‘?
And yes i know its near the EMI recording studios.

I think there’d be a certain fascination in just seeing with your eyes the changes in the surroundings that 40 years can make, we’re all so much more familiar with the exact way that street looked from that one angle for a split-second in 1969. I loved that Monty Python retrospective where Michael Palin visited many of the old locations – “Look! It’s the ‘Fish Slapping Dance’ pier!”

Offline Going back to the clip my memory is faulty, they don’t recreate the dance as they cut to the original. Palin does dress up tho which annoys me. Why? It brings nothing of any additional value to the piece. Watching it thru and its cringingly bad.
