He cites The Beatles in Hamburg as an example. Studies have certainly suggested that tennis players, future chess grand masters etc can be hothoused from an early age to be among the best in their field.

I like the theory. The trouble with today's music industry is that fewer people have a chance to grow. Musicians are signed when they're young - around 16, 17, 18, and encouraged to have hits straight away, ...

The answer is no just because it's a completely different time. It's all about image now, back then people heard the Beatles before they saw them, now it seems like it's the other way around. Sure there were plenty of "teeny-boppers" who screamed at the very sight of the four boys, but the reason the Beatles are still as relevent today as they were back then is because of the music. I think that there is plenty of good music out right now, it's just not being played on the radio and you have to search to find it. I ...

The lyrics are simply too juvenile and ineloquent and even too dirty to last. (Hmm, though I wonder if people thought this same thing initially with WDWDIITR?)
