Zig, is your quote button broken? Or do you just want to save space?

I Think This is Potentially the most off topic Thread On this Forum-not that I'm Complaining.

Mabey, but there was a topic about Ringo that I started, then it turned into a thread all about opinions on abstinence....

Wait. Was this the "Ringo, the cute one" thread?

Yes...

The way I recall it, everyone was talking about whom they would rather date, and how quickly they would "put out." Then someone on the Reason Patrol pointed out that guys are impressed more with girls who wait.

...so, in other words, "Yellow Submarine" is NOT an album!

I just want to play. I’d like to think I could work opposite Sinatra, B.B. King, the Beatles, or a polka band... - Jazz musician Rahsaan Roland Kirk, 1967

"Beatles Bibile Site" (sung to tune of Yellow Sumbarine)

In the Forum - where I post,

There’s a girl - I call M3.

And she rewrites - Beatles songs,

But just not as - good as me,

So we posted – a few songs,

That we rewrote – no easy thing,

Then we were - joined in our game,

By a guy named - Mr. Sun King.

We all post on the Beatles Bible site,

Beatles Bible site, Beatles Bible site.

We all post on the Beatles Bible site,

Beatles Bible site, Beatles Bible site.

All our friends - are getting bored,

Many of these posts - will be ignored,

‘Cause there’s nothing new to say.

(Trumpets play)

We all post on the Beatles Bible site,

Beatles Bible Site, Beatles Bible Site.

We all post on the Beatles Bible site,

Beatles Bible Site, Beatles Bible Site.

I derailed - another thread (another thread)

And I’m sorry (he is sorry) that was so mean (was so mean),

I will get, (he will get) us back on track (back on track)

By typing Yellow (typing Yellow) Submarine. (Submarine) (Ah-ha!)

We all post on the Beatles Bible site,

Beatles Bible site, Beatles Bible site.

We all post on the Beatles Bible site,

Beatles Bible site, Beatles Bible site.

Sorry, I know this was a while ago, but I think I just died a little reading this. Quite possibly the best parody ever, not gonna lie. :D

No.  It does not.  It's one side of leftover songs from the Sgt. Pepper and pre-White Album era and another side of film score.  This is all in my humble opinion, of course....  a-hard-days-night-john-6

But couldn't you then argue that Magical Mystery Tour isn't an album, because it's one half film score, one half singles and other songs that didn't make it to Sgt Peppers. In my head they've both always counted as albums. Just my opinion ofc. :)

When you put it that way, you could say that Yellow Submarine and Magical Mystery Tour are not albums they are just collections of songs. But still, they are both extremely awesome collections of songs.

Yellow Submarine has 4 new songs so I don't agree it is an "extremely awesome collections of songs."

Well perhaps I was exaggerating a bit, but I do really like 3 out of 4 of those new songs. Plus even the orchestral pieces I sort of like. george-martin

Well it seems I'm the only one who likes George Martin score. As a soundtrack fan, I think YS incidental music is quite lovely!!!  george-martin
