Every think of all the animals in the White Album?

A racoon, a pig, a black bird, a monkey, a walrus, an eagle, an elephant, a tiger, and…… a sheepdog (Martha).

Any other animals in the Beatle canon? (Bulldog, blue bird,…)

The black lab (Jet!), the blue Jay (debatable, but I really don't give a rats ass), and of course, the elephant in the room of the album named herion.

I tried to think of something powerful and moving… and failed.  "You were given a choice between war and dishonor - you chose dishonor, and you shall have war" - Winston Churchill

There were birds in the sky in Till There Was You.

Henry the Horse dances the Waltz in Mr K.

Flying pigs, dead dogs and of course the walrus from I Am The Walrus.

And Your Bird Can Sing

I'm guessing there's loads more.

The non-bulldog at the end of I feel fine. More a guard dog. Folks claim there are seagull noises in TNK. Not really on a farm tho.

Haha!

"Good Morning Good Morning" has a whole farm's worth of animals at the coda – a weird-ass kinda farm that apparently has lions and elephants.

Thanks!

And John never was one for normal, especially during Pepper. (Hurry up and read the anagrams thread!) But yes, I knew I was missing a crucial example.

There's crickets chirping in Sun King, does that count?

Everyone's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey

Free As A Bird

Blackbird (lots of birds in their songs)

Does the line "this bird has flown" in Norwegian Wood count? I know it's slang for girl, but still…it might.

We left out the worm (Yer Blues) – but I don't think the fly in Flying really counts…. :)

What about all the animals on the original White Album cover, the one they released on Beatles' Ballads in 1980. There's all kinds of animals on there.

How about the birds on the single version of "Across The Universe"?

Also, the dog barks from "Hey Bulldog".

Theres the Fly on the wall cd that came with LIBN.

And the Beatles nearly went on a safari (one of the many suggestions before they turned to Revolver) where you get tons of animals.

In "A Hard Day's Night", John was working like a dog.

Can we accept "Leave My Kitten Alone"?

In "Bad Boy" there was a canary, the neighbor's cat and a Cocker Spaniel.

In "Come Together", our hero had monkey finger.

How about "Dig A Pony"?

Those are the ones that spring to mind that have not been mentioned upthread.

Two thumbs up from my cocker spaniel Ringo! (he's just barely forgiving me for having missed it).

Someone should do a Beatle animal mash up.

My sister's dog is Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. We regret it because the damn animal is crazy as hell as if she were on LSD all the time. My sister says "You and your Beatle related names"….  a-hard-days-night-ringo-13
