I used to have favorite Beatles songs, they would change frequently, but they were still favorite songs. Now, though, I don't seem to have one. Maybe that's just because I haven't been listening to a lot of The Beatles the past year. I think I might have tired myself of them for a bit. They were practically all I listened to for about two years, so I have kind of been taking a break. I still bring their albums to listen to in the car, and listen to their solo stuff all the time, and am currently reading two books on ...

Agree about that it definitely is possible to have a favourite song. I'm sure it is, but not for me. I think it's indeed because of the fact they've used such a wide range of genres, like someone said on the first page. I could make a top 10 in no particular order though.

For the most part I agree. While not all of the songs are my favorite, the majority of the catalog is; therefore, its almost for me just to pick when someone ask me that question. On the other hand, I probably listen to my non favorite Beatles songs over some other bands non favorite songs or even another bands favorite song to me. I'm weird I know.

About not having a favourite song: the same could be said for any band whith a large and varied catalogue. If they ask me what's my favourite Beatles song I have to answer at least 5-6 titles (if I'm really good at choosing them, otherwise I need 10 or 12).

But when I dislike a song, I have no problem admitting it; it's not that I have to like everything just because it's my favourite band.

When I'm listening to the Beatles, either full albums or on shuffle, I never skip a song for the reason of not liking it. The only reason of skipping it is for time constraints (when I want to get to a specific song before I have to stop listening-which I always hate when the time comes)

I'm the same way. In fact, I honestly enjoy every Beatles song, except for Mr. Moonlight and Revolution 9 (both of which I listen to maybe 1 out of every 10 times I listen to their respective albums).

Well, I wouldn't say that "all" of the Beatles songs are my favorites -- but I can say that thinking about my "favorite" Beatles song puts a great strain on the hierarchical listing like a "Top Ten".

For me, there simply cannot be only one #1 Beatles song, or a #2, etc. My Top Ten would have to have multiple entries for each one.

I haven't thought about it enough to post a definitive list right now, but just off the top of my head I can list a few that would definitely occupy, all together, the #1 slot for me:

I dont get that. What do you mean Wildcat by "That elsewhere was on 17 June, meanmistermustard, barely enough time to decree No Reply as your all-time favourite."?

I also fail to see the issue with naming youre all time beatles track, why does it matter?
