That means, a chorus started with the "Love, love, love" and a boy sang the song. They did the whole song with no instrumental break. It was very much like in the famous Love Actually scene (but without the funny part at the end).

My niece says it was truly moving and beautiful.

In my view, "iconic" and "most easily recognized" don't really mean the same thing, but that's more a matter of personal interpretation. And yeah, "YS" is indeed pretty much the most recognizable track on several levels. 

To me, "She Loves You" is probably the most iconic Beatles song.
