It would take a long time, but It might happen.
At least it is a possibility for you. My friend I tried to convert, stated that she will never become a Beatles fan. It made me sadGood luck!

Most of them say that to annoy me. Don't be expectant though.

OfflineI have two to add to your deliberations. The first is "If I Fell", surely one of Johns most beautiful melodies most ably abetted by Pauls magnificent harmony. The second is "There's A Place" which I think is the real standout song on their debut. There is something about that song, in context it sounds like the future happening now, and , in my opinion, it was the signpost that there was something really special happening here.

Continuing my trek through Past Masters Vol. 2, I came across, "Old Brown Shoe". I'll put that at the same level of under-rated as Don't Let Me Down". You never hear them or about them much, but when you do, you're like, "Wow! Why weren't these big hits?!!?"
I agree, this song is just amazing especially the guitar solo in the middle! Another underated one on past masters by george is the inner light. Mother Natures son is also incredibly underated, I especially like the introduction on that one.

OfflineA few that come to mind..
- There's a Place
- Maxwell's Silver Hammer
- Cry Baby Cry
- I Don't Want To Spoil the Party
- I'll Follow the Sun
- Your Mother Should Know
- She's a Woman
- Wait
- She's Leaving Home
- Lovely Rita
- I Wanna Be Your Man
- Hey Bulldog
I tend to listen to the most popular and known ones less (even though some I really love, like "Yesterday"… I almost melted to the floor when he played it at the concert) because I've heard them so much more over the years, being singles.

Offline"Hey Bulldog" hands down.
It was more than under-rated; it was UNKNOWN for 40 or so years
1) It appeared on the original Yellow Submarine album – an album few people bought due to all the uninteresting incidental orchestral music
2) The song (and corresponding sequence) were cut out of the American version of the Yellow Submarine movie.
Result: a cult song known to just a few people (relatively speaking) until the re-release of the album, now with all the good stuff on it, and then more recently Rock Band.

I agree. Once you hear that riff, you can't ignore it
I don't know if it's really underrated, but I would say The Fool On The Hill, it's such a great song.
And Love You To: am I the only one who can listen to it 4-5 times in a row? (probably yes)

100% agree. Even by Beatle standards, those harmonies are great.
And as an 11 year old, that super-electric electric guitar solo had me pining for an electric guitar…. (I tried to make my acoustic guitar sound electric by plucking way down by the bridge. No go.)

OfflineWatching the BBC's re-recording of Please Please Me at the moment. Have been reminded of There's a Place. Everyone talks about the end of their straight boy-meets-girl love songs coming in 1965, with songs like The Word. They binned the straight boy-meets-girl love songs with this one, the first song recorded for their first album, and a song that – if you look at the lyrics – gave hints at where they were to go. "And it's my mind, and there's no time, when I'm alone…"!

OfflinePff there's a loooong list of underrated songs. I think that if I'd make a list of overrated Beatles songs, I'd be done sooner than underrated songs, because there are so many!
Few examples: I've just seen a face, there's a place, Love you to (actually most of George's songs except for Here comes the sun and Something.), I'll Follow The Sun (this is really one of my favourites), Things we said today, Tell me what you see, etc.

OfflineMy entire perception of what's underrated is thrown off because I learned most of the songs through Revolver via the cartoon. So to my inner 8-year-old, if there was an episode and animation for a sing-along, there must have been some agreed-upon merit to the song. To this day, it surprises me to hear people slag certain songs as subpar. I have some I like more than others, of course, but usually I envision a storyline or at least a visual concept, increasing the song's appeal.

Watching it on Sky+ and its weird as i keep expecting Beatle harmonies and backing vocals on the songs and either they're not there or different (obviously). A Taste Of Honey is on and i keep expecting the "doo doo doo doo"'s from George and John. And where's George M, weird not seeing him in a Beatles show. Its certainly better than the Beatles '62 Love Me Do BBC programme last October which really irritated me.
There's A Place is definately underrated but also Anna which has a killer John vocal and wonderful backing vocals.
