I also think Blue Jay Way is criminally underrated. I really, really like it.

I think Julia is underrated.  What a sweet love song it is.  Maybe not the most criminally underrated one, but I don't see much love for it here.

I have to agree with vonbontee, Piggies is extremely underrated. It so rarely gets mentioned by any of us here.

Within You Without You is another Harrison song that is often passed over. There used to be a line about it being the first track on side two of Pepper to make it easier to jump over, as you'd just had to get up to turn the record over (that was something we used to have to do in the olden days).

Old Brown Shoe has been brought up, and I agree with that. In my opinion, it has one of George's coolest solos.

Another underrated gem is Yes It Is, the B-side to… Ticket To Ride, I think. It's one of my favorites from Past Masters, along with I'm Down. Yes It Is has some great, smooth harmonies like Nowhere Man; but I also think the volume foot pedal effect from George works best here. It gives the song a really melancholic feel.

I agree! The bass line in "Old Brown Shoe" is absolutely fantastic and I've always loved the "funky" sound of the song. And "Yes It Is" is such a beautiful song! Great harmonies!

I've just listened to Old Brown Shoe for the first time, and first impressions… meh. It's a great rocker, but the vocals are really, really quiet and George just sounds… bored. It'll grow on me, I'm sure.

Blue Jay Way is a fantastic song.

I dunno but I think Girl is one of John's finest songs. Anyone whose heart has been broken can relate with John's cry "Is there anybody going to listen to my story??"

You Never Give Me Your Money, If I Needed Someone, The Night Before, I Me Mine, She Said She Said and Long, Long, Long are all criminally underrated.

I think Fixing A Hole doesn't get it's due either.  Along with You Never Give Me Your Money, it is sandwiched quietly inside an album full of great songs, which is probably why.

Speaking of You Never Give Me Your Money, The Beatles Bible is cited in the Wiki entry for the song, talking about the arrangement and instrumentation.  Just one more reason this is the best Beatles forum on the planet!  @Joe, be proud of your baby!

Oh, @mithveaen, I can totally related to Girl.  That opening line is downright haunting.  EDIT: And I can relate to the line "And she promises the Earth to me and I believe her, after all this tiIme I don't know why".  And I don't think @Ahhh Girl  would agree that it's underrated a-hard-days-night-george-10  After all, every time she posts the song gets mentioned (which is well over 2k, maybe 3k, can't remember offhand!) a-hard-days-night-george-10

ps – does anyone else get a weird glitch when mentioning @Ahhh Girl?  It comes up as an apparently random string (cbatcu, I don't think we have a member by that name) when I click her name in the box after typing a few letters, but ends up with the right name when previewed or posted.  Yes I've tried it a dozen times…

Half of what I say is meaningless...
