My gut hurts… It’s not used to being used that much.
But once I decided it was based mostly on personal enjoyment, not how technically great the song is, it got easier. It was hard giving any songs low scores but when I thought of the really amazing songs I convinced myself I could place some of them in the lower range.
I bet my submission was probably the highest score Boys got. 
It’s as close as I’m gonna get! At least I’m confident about my tens.

Offline Maybe they read the mis-read the song title or were thinking of another song. Then again i gave ‘Across The Universe ‘ a very low rating as the mixes suck yet others love it – its all down to taste.
I will go in a major huff if ‘Hold Me Tight ‘ is marked higher than ‘No Reply ‘ by the way.

What’s wrong with giving Boys a 9? I love that song. It’s so rocking. Especially the Anthology version!

Offline The more I think about it the more amazed I am at the number of times I gave a song a 5 or a 6, or maybe a 7 –that is, for me they were simply mediocre or “good”. I also scored several songs with 3 and even 1 –lousy songs. The masterpieces were there, sure, and I scored them with a 10, but the fact remains: even The Beatles included many fillers in their LPs and singles (IMHO). And yet they are responsible for the best popular music of the last century –because of the masterpieces.

Offline I rated all the “good” songs 5 – which is the middle. Even 4 for Beatles is 6 for someone else, I’d say.
