The original has a little trippy, flowy slightly psychedelic sound. With Ringo singing it over a different type of arrangement, I get the feeling it would have a bit more of a Country sound and could easily have fit in on Beaucoups Of Blues.

Hmm I'm very bad at these things. I'd love to hear John sing Good Night but I don't think his voice would suit the song.

And George already had a coupla other vocal spotlights on With The Beatles, anyways.

Also, I wish that John had given "I'll Cry Instead" over to Ringo, just so he could've had his vocal spotlight on AHDN. The song strikes me as a natural fit, being the sort of country-rockabillyish thing that Ringo did so often.

It isn't (or as I know the story to be) a serious song, with the cheesy over the top (intentionally over the top) strings making it seem perfect for Ringo. But I can see it being dreary and boring.

And, just for the entertainment value, I wish there was some outtake of John singing Helter Skelter, like the clip of him on Anthology 3 goofing to Oh! Darling. (None of which to say Paul didn't do Helter Skelter well - he did it fantastic, but just to see if he could.)
