The last Beatle song I found myself enjoying while I was essentially unhappy was, inexplicably, "The Ballad of John & Yoko".

When high - Nothing doesn't sound great to me when high! (Not that I'm anything near a full-time stoner; if I was, the novelty would wear off.) And I don't really listen to any music when I'm genuinely sad or depressed. When I'm just in a mild funk and want to be cheered up Magical Mystery Tour never fails. Generally the Bealtes can put me in a better mood, and depending on my mood, I'll listen to different songs to pick myself up.

I would honestly listen to a more Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (Neil Young) or Sigh No More (Mumford and Sons) album.

(Never been high in my life, but Twist and Shout seems like the ultimate song to play someone who's hungover - such upbeat spelled when they feel shitty. Seems like a hoot for the sober.)
