What’s everyone’s favorite songs to listen to during certain moods: Happy, sad, angry, in love, peaceful, etc.?

I dont know. Don’t really have any favourites for certain moods.

Any song I’m just discovering isn’t on my list of songs that fit certain moods because I’m just discovering them. They might end up on a list of my favourite songs for particular moods, but this thread is not about favourites. It’s about Beatles songs (together or solo) you’re just discovering, or are just starting to appreciate.

Can we please

Two thread for moods…https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..d-or-high/

A thread for times of the day/year…https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..o-beatles/

If one of those doesn’t fit the topic you were trying to get at @KaleidoscopeMusic, feel free to start a new thread.

Posts certainly shouldn’t be deleted, @KaleidoscopeMusic. No post like yours is ever irrelevant, it’s just sometimes there are better places for them, and not wanting to see a thread drift too far from what it’s meant for. Minor derails happen all the time (ewe2, me and Joe ended up having a discussion on the White Album cover in the “Favourite Albums” thread the other day!).

I just wanted to make sure this thread didn’t get lost in things that don’t rightly belong in the subject of it. Always feel free to start new threads if a thought occurs that doesn’t really fit the thread you’re looking at. If ever curious about whether a thread exists that fits the subject you’re curious about, you can ask here.

My comments today were merely to prevent this thread getting too far away from what it’s meant to be.

@Into the Sky with Diamonds, may I add (Beatles and Solo) to the thread title to help guide folks to use the thread the way you envisioned it?

For those who are discovering music from other artists that you think is way cool and want us to know about, a good thread would be the “What are listening to right now” thread. Thanks for that thread, @Necko.

EDIT: ITSWD and I emailed about updating the title. I made the change.

Postcards From Paradise (song) – my first time listening to it. Great song, so many Beatles references!ahdn_ringo_09

Christmas Time (Is Here Again) – Another great song. Can’t believe I haven’t heard it sooner

I’m Moving On – My first time hearing Yoko sing. Actually didn’t find it too bad

Dark Horse (song) – Fabulous melody and lyrics!

Yes and no. I have heard Liverpool 8, but I’ve never heard In Liverpool. Looks like some more songs to look up!

*adds “In Liverpool” to the imaginary list of songs I need to look up*

I listened to Double Fantasy all the way through for the first time ever a couple days ago. I usually skip all Yoko’s songs, but this time I listened to all of them and they’re not too bad. I can’t tell if I like them because they make me laugh or if they make me laugh because I’m surprised that I like them so much or if it’s just both.

I know how you feel. The first time I heard I’m Moving On, I went “What… Yoko sang on Double Fantasy ? Actually doesn’t seem too bad”

I’m not sure what triggers the laughing. It might be a combo of both, but I wouldn’t be too sure

The first time I heard Give Me Something , I thought “John let Yoko sing on his album? Why would he do that and what is this song?” It’s grown on me now, though.

Why don’t you like snow? Snow is the best stuff ever. I just like laying in it. It makes me so happy.

I don’t like it for various reasons. The snow in my area isn’t just like “a winter wonderland with about a foot of snow”, its more like “the abominable snowman got mad several times within 2 months, giving at least 4 feet of snow”. In general, I also just do not like winter or being cold (besides wearing long pants, obviously). Don’t even get me started on shoveling snow, usually hours just in one day shoveling a driveway. I love snow. The more there is the happier I will be; would love to get 4ft and I hate the cold. As soon as it starts snowing im out for a very long walk. In Scotland we normally get freezing gales and freezing rain instead and I’m huddled up in the house for days.

That’s good about the people liking Yoko. I sometimes laugh when I hear Yoko. I experience a wide range of emotion from laughter to fear to sorrow to joy to rage, especially when listening to her more experimental vocal style.

I had deja vu reading the posts from @natureaker and @Little Piggy Dragonguy about snow. It was weird…like I was reading the posts for the first time but I was remembering them.  I’ve been drifting in and out of sleep in my recliner by the fire.

I love shoveling snow, but I live in a townhouse so we have people come and do that for us. I’d love to shovel for you the next time it snows.a-hard-days-night-george-10

You’ve no idea how distant the concept of being snowed in is to an Australian, having to dig yourself out paul-mccartney

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

having to dig yourself out sounds scary. I don’t like scary snow I just like the nice kind that lets you roll around and walk through it without hassle.

I wouldnt dig myself out, I’m quite happy to remain snowed in for days. If anything i’d go out, collapse and die.
