OfflineThe only Beatles song (and any song, for that matter) that has ever made me cry is Real Love, because… well it doesn't need an awful lot of explanation.. Just the thought of them all working on it but without John – Gahhhh!
Also, Here Today (Paul's tribute song for John) is really depressing. On the live version on it after he sings 'I love you,' the crowd cheers, and I just sit there like

OfflineHey Jude has made me cry, only not becuase it's sad. I can't really expain it, but when I listen to that song I get this feeling of like extreme happiness only I think that it's just so overwhelming I get depressed by it, but a happy deppresion. It's like that with a lot of their songs actually, but mostly Hey Jude, Yesterday, WMGGW, ADitL, All My Loving, The Abbey Road Medley, and Eleanor Rigby.

woah woah woah. The idea of all my loving is a little sad, but he's saying he'll still love her! And that guitar solo is so cheery it's ridiculous. Practically gleeful. It really makes you sad?

The final solo of While My Guitar Gently Weeps with George saying (what sounds to me like "Paul") then Paul coming in with "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeaaah, woo!) I get goosebumps and the occasional tear up.
I love that bit aswell, I know exactly what you mean.

Kind of, but I'm not particularly sure if it is sadness or not, becuase it always makes me really happy when I listen to it, but maybe it gives me a surplus of happiness that's so crazy I just don't have enough energy to hold so much happiness inside myself at the same time, so then some of my happiness gets turned into sadness maybe.

OfflineI've only listened to Here Today a couple times, and I skip it when I'm in public, because I cry every time. :/ Paul's a genius with melodies, aw.
All My Loving, because it (well, a muzak version) was playing in the Roosevelt Hospital when our Johnny was rushed in, and was possibly the last thing he ever heard.
When I'm Sixty-Four, because half The Beatles didn't reach that age… okay, this is getting depressing.

OfflineYeah I know I said I was going to be busy, (actually I am) but this is too good for keeping it for myself.
I saw "Once Upon a time in America" directed by Sergio Leone when it was released, and I didn't like it at all. It turns out that version was edited without Leone's permission.Anyway, a friend of mine saw the director's cut and he says it's a much better film. He sent me this video that moved him a lot: The character that DeNiro plays in this film goes away from NY because he made terrible mistakes and the mafia is after him. He returns years later to NY. He says the scene got him because of the music that was used when the movie goes from the 30s to the 60s.
I saw it and it got me, not because of the film (I haven't seen the director's version) but what NY means to Beatle fans.
