I can't stop listening to 'In My Life' at the moment. I just love that song so much. One of my favorite, lyrics are just so great, and that short guitar riff
, one of greatest songs of all time.
That bridge is one of the best moments in their entire discography.
I agree

I have been absolutely obsessed with "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" lately. And what's funny is I used to not be so fond of that song…obviously, I love it now!
I am actually surprised how so many people are not fond of this song, it's pure masterpiece. It's like 3 songs in one. I especially love that 2nd guitar riff.

I know! That's why I'm so surprised that I used to not like it very much…it is, like you said, a pure masterpiece!

OfflineI have been listening to With A Little Luck like mad lately. It's always stuck in my head, too, so I really don't know why I listen to it so much. That probably doesn't help anything.
I have also been on a massive Four Seasons kick for like the past four months or so.

I have always hated that song (and most of the London Town album) for some reason. I think it's the production and arrangement. Great melody but the synth sounds and whooshing noises have always made it seem so synthetic and limp to me.
As for me, I've been on a big Because binge recently, been getting far more involved with the band's harmonies and listening in good headphones to pick out each member's distinctive voice and the melody they follow. I think only the Beach Boys could top Because in terms of vocal harmony showcases.

For me, it's just one of those songs that are just so bad you can't help but love them. ![]()

OfflineNot a massive fan on London Town as an album tho there are some very good songs: Children Children; Girlfriend, Deliver Your Children, Morse Moose and the Grey Goose. With A Little Luck has always been one of my top Paul solo songs, the instrumental solo reminds me of Thomas The Tank Engine for some reason. The first few tracks are leightweight at best.

"From Me To You", it is so cathy song, especially the beginning.Yes, I love that one too.
I've been listening to 'I Should Have Known Better' all day. I can't stop singing the song to myself everywhere I go.
Yeah I had the same situation with 'I Should Have Known Better'
.

OfflineHad to take a longish train journey into the city yesterday so I thought I'd attempt to listen to the White Album all the way through, something I haven't done in a while. I only got as far as Helter Skelter, so I either underestimated the album's length or overestimated my travel time but either way, as I was walking to the station, listening intently, I was blown utterly away by While My Guitar Gently Weeps, one of those moments where you suddenly remember how absolutely incredible a song is, like you're listening to it for the first time.
Granted, there may be heavier songs on the White Album, but WMG is heavy in a whole different way to any of the others. John's "ey-up!" at the end of Bungalow Bill suddenly hurls the listener into the path of the juggernaut. That menacing, laboriously descending chord sequence (emphasised to the max by Paul's ridiculously thick, chugging bass) reflecting the universal, soporific world-weariness of George's wonderful and cryptic lyrics, like each bar of the song is another trudging step down into some existential void. To counteract the sheer doom of it all there's the gorgeous melody of the bridge. And then at the end Clapton's guitar sighs and sobs and laments as perfectly as one might have directed it to- at about 3:39, tell me that instrument ISN'T weeping, with George's unearthly moans in the background. And the band keeps on going, driving that menace onwards and onwards, Paul getting carried away with himself and letting out some wailing "yeah"s like a man possessed just as it fades out. Bloody brilliance. It's for moments like this, when a song just HITS me all over again, that I still listen to the Beatles' music, songs I've heard hundreds of times before, again and again, day in, day out.

OfflineRecently, I haven't been able to stop listening to Anna (Go to Him). People have criticized this song, but I love it, especially the bridge. I also love how harsh John's voice was. If he didn't have a cold that day, the song wouldn't sound as great.

OfflineSince I downloaded from YouTube 2-3 months ago, it's been Revolution [take 20]. I thought I'd gone beyond being able to be shocked or surprised by The Beatles with all I've heard over the years. This did it. Of the fabled recordings that are yet to see the light of day, ten minutes of "What the f*** is this?"
I keep on returning and am never disappointed. Just listened to it again. Devastating.
Past few days, mixed with that, Let It Be movie and Glynis' Get Back albums (much preferred to the Phil Spector or Paul McCartney Let It Be's) alongside various Christmas recordings to try & get in the mood.
Love the 1965 flexi, Chrimble Mudley was a great throwaway, Rolf and the boys doing Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport should've been on BBC.
