A couple of points – first off they used to make C-120 cassette tapes – which are 120 minutes long – so it can be done.
Totally!! Oh God I still have some casettes tapes….

To be honest, I don't remember listening to R9 when I was a kid. Maybe my sisters decided to stop the Album playing there. But as a grown-up I like it. One night I was listening to it and it scared the hell out of me, so I avoid listening to at night. But hate it? No, I don't think I'll go that far. I like weird crazy music
Now I totally agree with that of not having R9 in a White Album copy is wrong. It's something missing. I guess it's part of being raised with vinyls. I think it's an advantage to have NOW the opportunity of purchasing a song from an album you don't like, but hey these are the Beatles! and to these guys, the whole album was important. The order of the songs meant something.

OfflineSeriously, Let Us Make the Choice if we like or dislike a song. I respect what John (and Yoko) were trying to do, It just Doesn`t Work for me.

OfflineWell I'm not making you like it. I'm just saying my point of view. Which is
a. I'm not a big fan but I like it.
b. It doesn't work for everybody.
c. In my opinion, it's wrong to leave R9 out of a White album compilation.
d. I'm a Beatlemelomamona (meaning that I love Beatles music to the infinite and beyond)
And don't repeat that word kids, it's a very bad word in Spanish.

OnlineEvery C-120 I ever bought inevitably got eaten by my cassette player(s) – that's why I never bought more than a half-dozen or so of them in my lifetime. (Didn't trust 'em.)
But the notion of putting The Beatles on a 120-minute tape is tantalizing – there'd be 25-odd minutes of blank tape remaining that could be filled with "Hey Jude/Revolution" as well as the pre-Rishikesh recordings; or possibly "Not Guilty" and "What's The New Mary Jane?" presuming they were available.

And there was this legend that they could damage your tape players. Oh those were the times.
Well maybe you could have a mic on your house and tape any noise .. or scream at it, or play some weird stuff and call it your "Revolution 9"..

OfflineBy the time I heard the album, I knew exactly what to expect from it, specially R9. I heard the theme (I don't think it is a song), from a borrowed British vinyl, in a dark summer night, in a old, isolated house, where I was helping my sister to watch over it. It was frightening and amusing at the same time. I try not to hear it frequently, to keep this feeling pure and fresh.
Like I said before, I love it!

Not exactly avant-garde, like Mary Jane. It's more of a psychedelic sort of song.
But I like Revolution 9
And Mary Jane
And Tomorrow Never Knows
And Maxwell's Silver Hammer
And Mr. Moonlight
And Matchbox
And Anna
And… Run For Your Life.

Y al que no le guste puede mucho ir a ……. ok I'm not saying that

Actually some singers and band that come to Mexico say bad words to the audience and they go just nuts. My niece went to Coldplay concert in Guadalajara and Chris Martin said "I can't speak Spanish, but a friend told me to tell you : Buenas noches cabrones…" and all the audience went nuts. Roger Waters did it too in the concerts last weekend.
Too bad Paul didn't say a bad word. He's such a clean man
(And yes Marcelo we missed you! Welcome Back!)

OfflineThe first time I listened to Revolution 9 I confused it for Revolution 1. I remember reading a wikipedia article on Revolution (I guess not that closely), so after listening to Revolution (single) on youtube, I clicked on Revolution 9 expecting it to be the slower version or Revolution 1. After that I was little creeped out, also because then I listened to Revolution 9 backwards.
Now that I've gotten used to it, I quite like it. I don't have it on itunes or anything I have to be in the right mood to listen to it. I agree it's interesting to hear some of the weird quotes and conversations that are hidden in it…. eldorado.

OfflineWell, I am referring to the snatches of quotes that are intelligible. I can see how the idea that "Revolution 9" has a subject matter is confusing.
mr. Sun king coming together said And yes, YouTube comments are stupid. But hilariously so.
