P: The ability to let George have more songs.
G: The ability to not the hell out of me with his Indian shit.
R: The ability to have a drink without massive drunkenness.
Q: Why are the Beatles the best?

OfflineTheir singing, songwriting, eclecticism, experimentalism and chemistry: that's what made them the best.
John felt that he could've sung "Oh! Darling" better than Paul. What song do you think would've been better served by a different lead singer?

OfflineNo. There was always a reason why they didnt reform and even tho John was expressing interest in touring in Jan 1981 and doing some beatle numbers (she loves you was one that was mentioned) George and Paul still wouldnt get on enough to be in a band together. There was a lot of ill feeling between them. Even in the early 90's they didnt get on too great and had to lay aside enough ego and disharmony to make the anthology work (by some accounts the main reason George did it was because of looming financial turmoil).
If you got the chance to jam with Paul and Ringo on a song which one would you choose?
(P.s. Ringo played drums on Why dont we do it in the road – "Why Don't We Do It In The Road? was just Paul and me..." (Ringo, anthology time).)

OfflineI had a friend who played Paul in Beatlemania on Broadway and I used to jam (sing) with him when he did individual club dates inNew York. I loved singing "If I Fell" or "Please, Please Me" with him…Love how those harmonies work in those songs.
What one moment of the Beatles history would you like to have witnessed first hand?

OfflineI can see there being various line-ups of 3 of the band, even on stage but not advertised more guesting - just not George and Paul together. Paul always seemed to have the ability to say something that would piss George off, even when not meaning to. I doubt George would have finance problems if doing work with John and Ringo.

Favourite song written well before it was released on an original album?
Answer: One After 909
Question: Least favorite non-Beatles person? (Mal, Neil, Brian, Sir George, Magic Alex, wife, child, etc…)

Best concert? (Or, which concert of the full group would you have wanted to attend? For me, even though this doesn't matter, it would have to be Maple Leafs Garden in 1964.)

OfflineI would have wanted to attend one of their concerts/shows in Germany before they recorded Please Please Me and before their shows became routine. If not then probably Stockholm, Sweden '63 or Washington '64 when they were trying to make an impression on a new audience.
Which non album opener would have been a really good lp starter?

My mum wanted to go to that very concert! But she was only 16 and she'd only had her driver's license for less than a year and her mother wouldn't let her drive the 200 miles from Sarnia to Toronto.

Actually, now that I checked Joe's history section, it would be the show at the Forum, for Montreal whoops Toronto any day.

OfflineIn response to Meanmistermustard's question, I think it would have been cool if Carry That Weight was the opener for Abbey Road and maybe put Come Together where SCITTBW is on the album, put SCITTBW where Carry that weight is, put Yellow Submarine in as a substitute for Because, and then make I Want You (She's So Heavy) into I Want You Because She's So Heavy (just mix those two songs together). I would like that.
Sorry if this has already been asked, but what is one nowadays song that you think would sound good if done by The Beatles? (my answer for my question is Sexy And I Know It because I like McC II and it's kind of similar.)

OfflineI've always been tantalised by the idea of John singing Little Lion Man.
Contemporary (for the time) artist who would have done a good job inducting Paul into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? For frankly, Neil Young does a fuckking shitty job of it.
