Does anyone know the correct personnel for Not A Second Time? I ask due to differences in the following
Revolution In The Head
Lennon: Double-tracked vocal, Acoustic Guitar.
Harrison: Acoustic Guitar.
(Wiki uses this as its source, at times it uses Beatles Bible as the source.)
Lennon: Vocal, Acoustic Rhythm Guitar.
Beatles Songs (a book written by William J. Dowling)
Lennon: Vocal, Acoustic Guitar.
(uses The Beatles on Record (1982) as source which says that Paul and George H werent present. However George H would surely have been at the session as Dont Bother Me was recorded afterwards (tho he may have been late) as was Paul)
So 3 sources with differing players. New information may have been discovered since RITH was published. I have no idea.
(Due to the decrease in personnel numbers as source #'s inclrease im half expecting a book to say John wasnt present.)
Lewisohn doesnt mention who's on the track.
I think I took George out after reading (musicologist) Walter Everett's books, which are mostly excellent but occasionally incorrect. He said GH isn't on the song. However, some of the comments on the song page suggest there is a second guitar after all, which can be heard more clearly on the stereo remaster. I haven't given it a listen yet. What do other people think?
I'm pretty sure there's bass guitar on there, though as with much of the early Beatles recordings you might have to crank up the bass levels to hear it properly.

There is definately a bass line, its buried pretty deep but it is there.
Will listen again to see if i can hear George's acoustic, its meant to be more hearable at John's first 'cry'.
Thanks Joe for the reply and link to the comments.
