OfflineI once had a book which listed "She's the kind of a girl that makes The News of the World" as someone once hearing it as "She's the kind of a girl who makes a musical fail," complete with picture of a woman on stage basically screaming out a song as the scenery falls down all around her. I've never heard it like that, but I always think of it like that when I hear the song.

OfflineI recently listened to Strawberry Field Forever and i heard
Misunderstanding all you hear instead of misunderstanding all you see
Someone was playing a Hard Days Night and either i heard incorrectly the vocals but it seemed like he said
MIssisippi instead of i should be sleeping

And there was another one I can't remember at this moment. But it will come to me soon. It always does.

OfflineThis may not be exactly on target with the forum but it's close enough.
Plus, I relish any opportunity to trash the late and rarely lamented Titan of Trash himself, Albert Goldman.
Here's just a brief taste of "misunderstandings" in Lives of John Lennon:
AG states that All Things Must Pass was a 4-album set.
AG refers to drummer Andy Newmark as "Andy Newman."
AG refers to producer Bob Ezrin as "Bob Ezra."
AG plagiarizes from the Manila Times account of the Beatles' tumultuous departure from the Phillipines and presents it as a factual report on the event.
This is not the only plagiarism in the book, far from it. AG lifted wholesale from various published sources. He mentions some of the sources at the beginning and end of his book. But mentioning is not equal to citation. According to even the most loose standards, AG was a plagiarist.
If you can't get the "small stuff" right I don't trust you with the "big stuff."
He calls the book a "definitive biography." I call it a case study in how not to do research and in how to expose oneself as a sloppy, lazy hack who not only hated JL, but hated people in general. Pick a page, any page in the book. You'll find AG taking at least one cheap shot at someone, from the famous to the forgotten.

Is that where you get your name? I'm not sure I get what you mean by "Sun King," though.

I didn't realize that until now. I just always thought he got there by jumping or something. Just my very weird mind at it's usual.

Oh, "Norwegian Wood" is a song that I NEVER got until I looked up the words. I'm not really good at understanding words to songs the first time I hear them. (Except maybe "Why Don't We Do it in the Road?") When I saw the title, I thought it was about a place! (I thought "Norwegian Wood" referred to a forest in Norway.) Then I listened to it. I don't think I had to look up the last line, though.
(Unrelated: Do we have a "Yikes!" smiley? The closest ones seem to be
