And moving this here because I ended up posting it on the completely wrong topic by accident. Never has the facePaulm emoji been more apt. paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif

What I intended to post here…

 There’s always the famous:

(not a Beatles’ song, I know)

The line in Queenie Eye : “O-U-T spells out, that’s out…”

I always thought Paul was singing: “All you cheeseburgers out…”

In Lovely Rita , when it goes “… When it gets dark I tow your heart away…

” I used to hear “… When we got stucked I told your heart to wait…”

It didn’t make a lot of sense, but it was Beatles, so why not … 😀

I believed for many years that the lyrics in Taxman go:

If you drive a car…

–I’ll tax the street.

If you drive too sexy…

–I’ll tax the seat.

Yes, I suppose that would tax the seat…so to speak. ahdn_paul_02

It’s supposed to be “Jump up and shout now,” but I always hear John sing it as mentioned above a-hard-days-night-paul-3

Don’t be surprised if John was. I’m convinced Paul sings “sure to fuck its a-getting late” instead of “but sugarbug its a-getting late” in ‘Lend Me Your Comb’.

Cheeky cheeky ahdn_george_06

It surely doesn’t sound like “Jump up and shout now” the first 3 times he sings it…

never heard that myself, but i could never figure out how “monday morning play piano song” was relevant in Michelle until i read the actual lyrics in a song book

I also heard “the house of caaaaards” instead of he House of Lords in A Day In The Life

I made a similar mistake with George’s ‘Poor Little Girl’s, which has a line about ‘poor horny boy’– I thought it was honey boy for a long time.

Being a dumb child when I first heard many Beatles songs, I misheard many of the lyrics.  So I thought it’d be fun to share some with you all.

I heard “Hey Bungalow Bill” as “Hey Buffalo Bill” (this one sorta makes sense cause Buffalo Bill was a real guy)

I heard “only waiting for this moment to arise” as “only waiting for this moment to arrive”

And the worst of all:

I heard “Jai guru deva ohm” as “Jackaroo day of love”a-hard-days-night-paul-4

I used to think the chorus of Ob La Di Ob La Da was ‘Honey, life goes on’ instead of ‘How de life goes on.’

"Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles... "
