Have you guys had any crazy Interpretations of Songs? I Thought Penny Lane was about a "questionable female", but now I know

I tried to think of something powerful and moving… and failed.  "You were given a choice between war and dishonor - you chose dishonor, and you shall have war" - Winston Churchill

Actually there's a Mexican version of Penny Lane that talks about the street as a girl walking down the street.

When she talks her voice is like music,

and she walks with such grace that can't be compared

there's something in the way she looks

well her eyes are like the sea

Penny Lane I can't live without you

You're like the blue sky so high

Forever until the end

Penny Lane your love you will never give to me

Penny Lane I'm just happy with seeing you walk down the street.

Edit Wow Look what I found!! A Mexican version of Rain!! the lyrics are about a boy whose girlfriend broke up with him and he's walking on the rain alone and sad. So instead of "Raaaaain" they sing "Veeeeeen" and instead of "I" they say "yaaaa"… I know it's not the best but as a fan of Mexican 60s  pop and rock culture this is just awesome!!

I love that version of Rain – too cool.

Suave frijoles.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.

Can buy Joe love! If you're going to buy that song, album, or T-shirt anyway; please consider using these links to support the Beatles Bible: Amazon | iTunes

 I used to think that "I Am The Walrus" was about a Walrus searching for her sona-hard-days-night-john-5, until i realized it probably isn`t about anything in particular

Yeah these guys were lucky to have their names printed next to Lennon-McCartney. The rock music from the 60s in Mexico was awesome, I mean heavily influenced by England and US, but there were big names that are still around. The lyrics might not be that good, but at least they were good players. That's why the tribute bands in Mexico were huge.

 And they were in the movies A LOT. When I was a child I used to watch those movies in Mexican TV and they were very much of my liking. a-hard-days-night-george-7

OK. This isn't a "weird interpretation," but it is sort of on topic, so I will post it. (Ooh, that sounds like a T-shirt. Front: "If it's on-topic, I will post it." Back: "Heck, I'll post it even if it's not on topic." Underneath lettering on both sides: "Brought to You by the Beatles Bible Fab Forum")

In the second verse of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," there's a line. I always interpret it this way:

"I look at the world and I notice its turning." This means "I look at the world and notice the turning of the world."

But it can also be interpreted this way:

"I look at the world and I notice it's turning." Now, this might look exactly the same to all the people who frequently commit the vile atrocity of using "it's" to indicate possession or using "its" to indicate "it is." But it isn't. The above ("I notice its turning") is possessive. This ("I notice it's turning") is not. It means "I look at the world and I acknowledge that it turns."

How do you guys interpret it?

Actually, I spent about thirty seconds thinking about it. It takes more time to type than to think.

I read it as the world moves, no matter what we do, it's like saying "it doesn't matter the power we have, the world moves with or without us"

It's because to me, I notice it's turning and I notice its turning have the same meaning. But to be honest, I'm on vacations so I don't want to discuss English grammar a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

They're not. Just trust me.

It's = it is.

Its = belonging to it.

See the difference?

Feel free to print it out, copy it 500 times, and pass out copies to anyone who abuses this rule.
